iamthechacha @fancypants0078 I just purchased the blue sapphire maltese and the gold maltese cuffs she had listed. They’re complete fakes, the gold cuff was a mess and immediately fell apart. The inside sapphire maltese KJL stamp is completely illegible and hugely oversized. I’ve brought cuffs directly from KJL, I know the quality and the price. I got what I paid for, mea culpa for sure. If you’re ok with fakes, then go for her stuff.

iamthechacha @fancypants0078 have they the “gold”cuff away…it was so ugly and tarnished. Just make sure you ask sellers to post pictures of the inside stamps. My red ruby maltese cuff clearly say “Kenneth Lane” in a little oval inside the bracelet. I didn’t even have to put on my glasses, it was so clear and of quality. I bought it directly from the KJL website and paid full price. KJL stuff is so fun. Verdura is his inspiration. Ok, stay safe.

brooklynladywt @iamthechacha My deep apologies. I was gifted these by someone who works in fashion here in NYC. I’m not much of a jewelry person and did not do enough work to discover the genuine quality of these pieces. My apologies for that. I have learned from this and would like to make it right. Please let me know what I can do.

iamthechacha @brooklynladywt Your response alone tells me you’re a good person and as I wrote in my review, it pained me to be negative to a fellow posher. I tossed the gold cuff and will wear the blue maltese along with my ruby one. I scrunched it as much as I could to make it smaller without breaking it. I think if you label your pieces as “copies” of KJL and explain they were gifted to you, you’ll be forthright.

iamthechacha @brooklynladywt I also went back to my rating and gave you 5 stars. It wouldn’t let me update the comment though. But People can now read our conversation and know that you’ve done the right thing. These cuffs sell for $375 on the KJL website and a Verdura piece will set one back by $100K. Not everyone can afford these prices. It’s ok to wear an affordable copy as long as one knows upfront. 🙂
