akjupiter @soultea we had an insane heatwave. I've never experienced here until it came this summer. It got up to 92 degrees. Usually summers here range from 50-78 degrees from may to august. It's cooled down a little and we finally got some rain, thank the lord! It's great now though! The heat was getting unbearable. How about for you? (:

soultea @akjupiter we had a very rainy and chilly spring and early summer so the planting season was delayed. Maine weather is quite fickle so it could be overcast and stormy one day and then hot and sunny another. The coastal Maine waters are warming at a quite concerning rate which is affecting the marine life as well as the livelihoods of fishermen and lobstermen. It is currently 79 degrees.

soultea @akjupiter I just moved with my boyfriend farther up the coast near where I grew up so we have been pretty busy making house and building our little garden. He is taking classes this summer to gain another teaching certification as he just got a job as a physics and biology teacher at the school he has been working as a special ed teacher for the last 3 years (yay tenure!). I actually work as a live in private caregiver on a small island.
