I lost my 14 it old male in Jan. and 1.5 mos later, my 11yr old female missed her best buddy and she passed away from heart attack or broke heart. My new dog Molly is truly a gift from God. I was feeling very low

oceanhues I was ontroficef to a wonderful woman who runs a Golden Retriever Rescue in Lecanto. I endef up adopting a gorgeous 2 yr old female from Scotland. She is a true European Golden. She looks much different from the American Golden. But she came straight from the South Korean Meat Trade District where had she not been taken along with the group that came to the U.S. she would have been slaughtered and served as a gormet meal. Hard to wrap your head around!!

oceanhues Well, rescuing a Golden is a much less expensive way to get one now a days. Evelyn, I was leary about getting another American Golden. They are full of congential diseases and there was even a nationwide 3 yr study of the Golden Retriever bread because the breed's longevity is 3-4 years less than 15 years ago. But there are Goldens out there that might work for you. They lose their owners to illnesses. Death, etc. This woman is truly a Golden Retrievers Guardian Angel.

oceanhues Evelyn. Thid rescue id not too far from you. Homasassa area. If you want to check out adoption, I can recommend you to her. I don't necessarily think a South Korean rescue would be a good fit. They all require special care and experience. They all have come here with issues that range in severity. Molly has pretty severe attachment disorder and scared of storms. Some have much worse problems but she also gets rescues from Florida.

oceanhues @patternpalette. Aww!! I know your pain. This is Molly! She is a 2 year old European Golden Retriever rescue from South Korea Meat Trade District. She has been in the U.S. since April 2018. She is an awesome girl! I've had Goldens since 1981 and she is much different from the American breed. She's built different and the Euro. breed doesn't carry the heart and cancer genes that has almost destroyed the American breed. I love her so much. It is truly a "Who rescued who?" ❤❤ Thank you. oceanhues @sandiegosales. I adopted her in the U.S. I recently retired (early) from College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. I have had Golden Retrievers in my life since 1980 and had lost 2 of my sweet baby's when I was told about the rescue located about 1.5 hours away from me. It's a rescue for Golden Retrievers only. When I contacted them they told me about the Korean dogs. I went to visit and that was it, I decided I could definitely do this.

oceanhues @sandiegosales. Check out this awesome organization. https://www.soidog.org. There is an issue with these dogs that most of not all the dogs have to some degree. PTSD is something they all suffer from. Molly has a fear of abandonment. Some of the dogs have more severe issues. I'd love to have someone like Caesar, the Dog Whispered get involved in helping! ❤

oceanhues Your very welcome! If you need anymore info. Please let me know. I have worked with the Humane Society, National level in a couple cases. I just need to make more noise about these dogs and the unique issues that come with them on arrival to the U. S. The dogs come from other countries as well. Turkey also considers Goldens formed but the S. Korean's are particularly heinous in that they believe tenderizing before they are sacrificed. I just need to make more noise! 😆😉😯

She is a true European Golden and her heritage comes directly from Scotland! That pretty white blonde color. She's a sweet, intelligent girl! Enjoy your Lab puppy! The males are so regal! ❤

I've had and raised Goldens since the early 1980's, she is truly an awesome girl and somehow she appreciates her life and enjoys having toys! She never had one until reaching the US, April 2018. Now, her gifts fill a laundry basket and she loves to stick her nose in it and pull out a toy!

I have sent offers on every single item in my closet today. Anywhere from 30-90% off depending on the item and have reduced nearly every item in my closet. It's depressing. I've got little kids at home. My laundry is way overdue. I have 2 gifts under the tree... just need to re-focus on what's important I guess.

She comes from a long lineage from the Golden's origin, Scotland! That explains her beauty. Thank you very much. oceanhues @cmcboutique This is Molly! I have owned Golden's since 1982. I wouldn't dream of being owned by any other dog! Molly came to me from the SOUTH KOREA MEAT TRADE DISTRICT!! Yes the S. Koreans eat Golden Retrievers! I was more than willing to take her!! Thing is, she is not an American Golden. She is a true Euro Golden from Scotland! She looks and acts different than the American breed. I actually am quite impressed in the calmness they naturally bring.

My husband and I have always wondered if in countries that consume dog meat that they actually would eat such a wonderful, sweet breed, and now we know unfortunately they do 😞 I’m so happy to hear Molly found her way to you!!! Marley is my third golden, my first that wasn’t my families dog…my first was Reggie, we got him around 1996 then Morty, and now our Marley!

cmcboutique @oceanhues Both Marley and Morty came from the same breeder. They both come from the lines of gold rush Charlie, the most winningest golden in US dog show history. Those lines comes from true Scottish goldens and then they also have English in them as well!

cmcboutique @oceanhues Marley was basically white when we got him like a baby polar bear lol!!! I would never dream of having another pup own me (I love how you said that 💛) than a golden!! The most loving, sweet, smart, emotionally intelligent beings in the world!!! I have a pic of Marley somewhere in my closet I’ll tag you in the photo!!! Morty and Marley were actually born on the same day, 6/18, 8 years apart.

cmcboutique @oceanhues I always say my Morty brought us to Marley…unfortunately Morty passed from hemangiosarcoma (blood cancer) when he was about 8.5…not a day goes by where I don’t think of him multiple times…every one of them carved out their own special place in our hearts! oceanhues @cmcboutique There is an International group, S.O.I that is all volunteers including the pilot and crew. Molly came to Florida straight from S. Korea. When landing, she had never touched grass under her feet, never had a toy and weighed 35 lbs. after giving birth to puppies which they took from her.

oceanhues @cmcboutique The S. Koreans ONLY raise Golden's to consume because they believe they are best tasting. it's truly horrible. it took a couple of years with Molly to gain her trust. To this day if I pick up a broom, she leaves the room.
