Welcome to Alaska Forget-Me-Not Closet 🥰! Born in Juneau, AK, I grew up in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Valdez (hub of the oil pipeline). I lived through the ‘64 and ‘18 earthquakes.
Here are my fun stats: birthdate (11/11 — 7 lbs., 11 ozs., 11:10 AM), married 43 years (04/11), have two great kids, Rob (42, 03/11), Samantha (39, 09/11), best son-in-law Barry (married 12/11), and best daughter-in-law Elizabeth (married 06/11).
I’ve been blessed with the most amazing pets, all in pet heaven now… three hedgehogs 🦔, Patches Sage, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon, two wonderful and gorgeous dogs (years apart, but for way too short of time due to cancer) whom we dearly miss — Ruby, an Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix, and Willow, an Alaskan Husky (white with big black spots and bright blue eyes), and two very unique cats, Smokey and Missy.
I’ve been retired since January 2021 and have to, unfortunately, have to suspend my closet several months each winter due to travel (Drats. Haha!). I’m a very motivated seller, within reason of course, and you will save 15% on any bundle of two or more of my items! Your complete satisfaction is my joy. 🥰

Since retired, I’m more motivated than ever to sell (I still have 100’s of items to post, however) and need to clean my closet out as best as possible before we make the move from Alaska to Arizona next year! Thank you!

@maribibi2018 Haha! Oh, yeah, I definitely have bought things on Poshmark! My history on this is, a year and a half ago, my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. I was shocked. I'm 5' 2 3/4" and was 145 lbs. It wasn't ideal, but I also wasn't considered 'overweight.' However, I have a friend at work who had been warned for three years and she is now diabetic.

@maribibi2018 I swore this wouldn't happen to me, so I cut out carbs and sugar and ended up rocket dropping 30 lbs. in under three months. I'm now at 115 and holding. Needless to say, none of my clothes fit any longer. I had just bought like 15 Banana Republic work pants and had a whole slew of jeans and dresses that were huge on me.

@maribibi2018 One day I was browsing for a particular pair of jeans I loved and wanted to replace, and the rest is history! I found Poshmark and first started buying replacements, then realized I could sell my clothes to even things out. I love it! I've made a few bad purchases, but no big deal. I've not sold any high end items; probably $35 at the most. My items are very good brands, quality, and barely worn, but not high end.

@kitie2u Good morning! When someone purchases your item, their funds are held by Poshmark until they are in receipt of the shipment. There will be a note to the purchaser that "It looks like you've received your item, please accept and comment" or something similar. They "Accept" delivery through the message and then rate your item and they can also leave a comment or complaint (hopefully not!).

@kitie2u At that point, the funds are released to you and posted on your account. You can set it up to keep the funds in your account to make your own purchases or you can have the funds deposited into your checking account. If there is a dispute about the purchase, then Poshmark will get involved to resolve it. I'm sure this is rare, but it's still something you should be aware of. Protect yourself by being very specific about the details of the items you are selling.

I shared quite a few items from your closet, too! Alaska is beautiful country. I was born and raised here, so it's what I know. I love having the mountains at my back and the ocean in front of me. The wildlife is amazing, but the winters are always too long. I still hate being cold!

@evsjewels She’s got quite the story with us since we adopted her. If you’d like, check out her story on Facebook “Where’s Wandering Willow.” One week after we brought her home, she got loose and it took almost three months to get her back. It was a heartbreaking, exhausting, then extremely happy time. We had our phone by our side 24-7 and an entire town backing us. We were never giving up getting her home.
