isayosiyo2u @pat34481 who who who cooks for you alllll? ❤️ It is breeding season for the owls now and they are chatting it up here. I study screechers, but when I use playback to catch screechers I invariably catch a barred who is also looking to catch a screecher. I am going to get those britches. Going there now.

pat34481 @isayosiyo2u FYI it was the pizza man tonight (reheated leftover pieces). Is there such a thing as a owl house? Can one make their backyard more enticing for an owl? I have 3 palm trees 🌴 I hear an owl in the woods next to where I run my dogs. It usually hoots 3 quick in row when it is nearing sundown. (I'm listening for coyotes because Greta, 🐕‍🦺my German Shepherd, would not back down and would get sucked in and attacked by the pack.)

I have screech owl nest boxes, but would like to put out boxes for Barreds. https://www.audubon.org/news/how-build-screech-owl-nest-box, https://nestwatch.org/learn/all-about-birdhouses/birds/barred-owl/ Nesting cavities are at a premium for everything thanks to our dislike of snags.
