@katilo716 Hi Kathryn! I’m pretty new to Posh and I have a question for you. I have a potential buyer who has liked several of my items and put three of them in a bundle. I’m not sure what I should do next. I sent her a message asking if she was planning on adding any additional items to her bundle, and to let me know so I could offer her a discount. Was that the right thing to do? Thanks so much for the help!

@leslieanne414 Great question and what an awesome start to have this happen already. I usually wait a bit to make sure they're done adding items. Then offer a price (and include shipping discount) that you're happy with. People generally price their items to assume a 15-40% discount will be given. Then if people buy full price, it's just a bonus. I hope that helps! I'm happy to help further if you have any questions.

@leslieanne414 Some people like to make offers right away. I usually wait 1-5 hours or so. Also, a lot people swear by making offers to likers soon after they like your item. I’ve tried this many times and never get any takers. I send offers to likers once a week and have luck.

@katilo716 Thanks for this info. I’m going to try the offers to likers once per week too. Following up on the bundle question I asked you earlier, I waited several hours after the buyer finished her bundle, and then I made a very generous offer which she denied. I don’t get it. Earlier she offered me $20 for a bag I listed at $65 (retail $128). I don’t get that either! I guess I’ll just see what she does next about the bundle. At least it’s a good learning experience, right?! Thanks!

@leslieanne414 That happened to me constantly when I started. People tried to take advantage of me being new and thinking I need to make a sale. I accepted a very low offer on a bundle of five sweaters my first day, which I regret. There have been many times where I make offers and people are only happy with 80% off. Won’t find that in my closet! At first it was very discouraging to me, but now I know I’ll sell things later for a higher price.

Part of my problem is that even I am loving every minute I spend on reselling, I really need the money from sales at this particular juncture. But, that’s not going to last forever, so I need to have a longer term perspective on it. I’m learning so much, and it hasn’t even been two weeks! 😮

@leslieanne414 I was pretty addicted to PM when I first started and loved it, too. I Googled "how to be successful on Poshmark" and learned a ton from several resources. It paid off. I had 40 sales in the first month and became an ambassador in less than two weeks. I know you will do well! If you need the money and have the time, I would consider reselling from thrift stores. I would love to do that but just don't have the time with a full time job, toddler and infant! :)

Hi! Thanks for the shares! Love your closet you're doing awesome! I specialize mostly in plus sizes. I'm also a Poshmark ambassador. As an ambassador I need to let you know that the beautiful bowls you have listed aren't Poshmark compliant listings. A lot of Poshmark closets won't share with a " non compliant " closet. I want you to know bcs you have a great eye. I want you to succeed!

@leslieanne414 Hi! No your photos are great. The milk glass bowls, etc anything that is "Housewares" aren't supposed to be listed. Poshmark I pray does accept those in the future, but it's only supposed to be fashion, shoes, jewelry, makeup and accessories. It's a pain. Some people list home items anyway, but to become an ambassador you can't do it.

I don’t have any other abstract print dresses, but I do have some longer linen dresses and a longer pair of wide-leg linen pants that I’ll be listing soon. The brand you liked is called Mordenmiss, and they always have great stuff, so you can search them online for more travel wear! 🙂

@abbeyroad1968 Yes, I’m definitely interested in vintage pieces, especially anything I can “repurpose” or integrate into new designs. I love anything rhinestone (especially clear stones), anything unusual (like the snake brooch), and rock Quartz Crystal is my absolute favorite!

@abbeyroad1968 I understand. I think there’s an option for you to cancel, but not for me to do so. After submitting an offer that’s accepted, the buyer can’t cancel the order. If I’d just purchased it outright, I’d have three hours to cancel, but that’s not the case here. Does that make sense?

Also, just an observation—it’s great to sell vintage jewelry in lots, like some of your listings, but it’s really hard to tell what’s in the lot because of the plushy background. Just an FYI. 🙂

I’ll be forever grateful to a Posher who told me early on that the home items I’d listed weren’t allowed. This was before the “Home” market & I had no clue! She was so nice about it & so encouraging, when she could have just been a jerk about it.
