I'm from California. My house burned down Dec 2017. I lost everything including what I was wearing when the fire broke out. I wasn’t allowed to keep what I was wearing because it was toxic from soot and smoke damage. I’m feeling overwhelmed right now and not sure when I’ll buy and what I’ll buy. It’s a lot to take in when you lose everything.

In 2011 my I lost my entire house to a tornado, my great grandmother who was 93 at the time was in the house with us, she was on a walker, everything happened so fast as soon as she laid in the hallway the tornado came and the house collapsed on top of us. We were stuck for hours till the firemen came. So I feel what you’re going through, and I ask that you please let me help, I have plenty of clothes, shoes anything that I can donate.

@jeancollection Thanls so much for your kindness. I cried when I read your comments. It’s all so overwhelming to start over again. I’m just thankful I was recovered enough from being sick that I wasn’t bedridden any longer. I would have died had I not been able to get out of the house. I’m feeling really fortunate right now. The kindness of strangers is overwhelming

@lyncat20 thanks so much. I got everyone out and caught the dog when she ran away. Unfortunately my back was burned through my clothing. It’s a thermal burn from the intense heat. Doc says I’m going t be scarred, but that’s okay because I’m alive! Whatever you do - do NOT buy cheap lithium batteries from China. It exploded and burned the house down

@liane33 oh wow... I'm glad you got everyone out ok and found the dog. Thank you for the warning. It's ironic because someone at work was telling me about buying wholesale from China cheap - everything from batteries to clothing. I won't be doing that now!

@lyncat20 yeah, avoid the batteries. The battery blew up like a bomb. It blew out the window with the explosion. The fire marshal is going after the manufacturer and the store that sold it. Now I understand why lithium batteries are banned from flights. No one would survive if a battery blew up inflight. In 5 minutes the entire upstairs was gone. It was fast and the heat gets to be 1,900 degrees! That’s why I was burned

@lyncat20 a cheap lithium battery can cost you much more than you anticipated.... cheap doesn’t mean better. Cheap can mean dangerous. Go for name brand lithium batteries and not off brand, cheap Chinese ones

@lyncat20 I’m telling everyone! If I can spare another person from going through what I went through? Then I’ll be happy. I had no idea a small, lipstick size lithium battery could do that much damage! It’s tiny!
