I am a Posh Ambassador and love being on Posh. I have 2 special needs daughters who attend a small school for special needs individuals. Because of Covid-19 our school is desperately in need of financial help to stay open. I have committed to giving all of my earnings from my sales to help them. graceclothingco @crafteelinda490 one thing i have learned lately is that if you go to the “shop” tab on your poshmark account and search for the type of item you’re selling and select the filter for “sold items,” you can then click on each sold item and then click on the seller’s “About” page and look at their “love notes”

pdufault120 Hi, Linda. I, too, have a special needs daughter. Her name is Lindsay and she has Prader-Willi Syndrome. She's 29 and lives in a group home with 5 other PWS adults. I'm all ears if you want to chat sometimes. The situation can seem overwhelming sometimes. I pray their school remains open and you have lots and lots of sales to help sustain it. How old are your girls?

crafteelinda490 @pdufault120 Hi, thanks for your note. Dawn, my oldest, is 57 and Tamara is 49. They have a liver disease, galactosemia. The only control is a lactose free diet. Dawn lives in a house that I bought for her because I couldn’t take care of her. Her body and mind were damaged because of this disease. She has 24 hour care. Tamara was treated at birth and her mind is slow but she lives with me and helps me out a lot. I’d like to know more about your daughter.

pdufault120 @crafteelinda490 Hi, Linda. My 29 yo daughter, Lindsay, was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome. That includes social, mental, emotion, + physical deficits. Her symptoms are less debilitating than most others with PWS, so she lived with us till about 24 yo until she Wanted to leave. I wasn't ready, but she sure was! Our home is once again quiet and stress-free, but I sure do miss her. She comes home about 1x/month. Her group home is a 40 minute drive, so glad it's not more. we chat every day.

We have all had Covid and you know that my son died in September from Covid. It has really been hard because I had planned for him to make sure the girls were taken care in the event of my death. pdufault120 I didn't know about your son passing from Covid - I am truly sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine how difficult it must be to even function. On that note, my sister passed from Covid on 12/2 at 73 yrs old. Perfect health, she just waited too long to get help. A stubborn Norweigian! Gerry and I had Covid, too. I had double pneumonia and then Omicron.

pdufault120 Lindsay never had Covid. She's vaccinated and eventually returned to her day program. She has a boyfriend now, of sorts. They talked on the phone and text messaged for a year. Last week they actually met. Yay! She's in a good place right now. Thank you for asking. I've wondered about you many times but had no idea of the loss you've suffered. So glad you reached out. crafteelinda490 @pdufault120 Bless your heart. So sorry about your sister. Rex waited too long as well. He was a stubborn man. I did not know that he was sick until my granddaughter called me. He lived in Oklahoma and even though we talked he refused to tell me. He had work to do, he said. He had a full time job and was anxious to retire. He raised cows and he had hay to cut and cows to feed. He had a lot of farm equipment and he cut hay for his neighbors.

I am financially stable and I-have a lawyer who is drawing up the trust. My husband and I have been separated for almost 20 years now and he is no help at all. Here I am, a woman with 2 special needs daughters, and at 79 year old, I am looking for a new house because I cannot go up and down the stairs anymore and Dawn is in a wheelchair.

Our babies grow up but there are always new challenges, no matter what their age. My son is still not close to Lindsay, and that worries me a lot. In addition to our will, we set up a trust fund for her a few years ago for just that reason. Your son sounds like a sweet, selfless man. Such a senseless loss.
