carolmai @connellosteen How do you know it’s authentic if it was a gift? I’m sorry for the multiple questions but I went to Neiman Marcus today and the MCM bag they had in the store looks completely different than the one I purchased from you. Again, I apologize but I just want to ensure this bag is 100% authentic and not a knockoff.

connellosteen @carolmai MCM has a variety of different designs and patterns with their bags. The ones you saw were probably the brand new versions.

connellosteen @carolmai no problem. The bag came in a box with a dust bag. Did you ask them to authenticate? They should have been able to tell by looking at the bag from the stitching etc. the stitching should match their stitching. I am no expert but I am sure the department that sells them can authenticate.

connellosteen @carolmai I suppose anyone that receives anything as a gift wouldn’t be able to 100% authenticate.l years later. I did receive the bag from a reliable person and it was wrapped in store box with papers etc. I do not save my store boxes or papers.

carolmai @connellosteen the sales rep has only been employed there for a few months. The bag in the store’s leather had a different texture and the pouch had a different interior altogether. She said they made a lot of knockoffs that look identical and based on the bag that was currently in the store, she was not able to validate the authenticity.

connellosteen @carolmai honestly I do not. But I will tell you, I stand by any item in my closet. If you are not happy then pls by all means return the bag. I do not want you to be unhappy at all. I don’t want you to stress over this.
