@persiandoll311 it's pretty strong. Even the box smells. I had to put them in a ziplock with a sock full of baking soda. It will take a few days to leech the odor out of the leather--kind of a hassle. Otherwise, yes they are great. Thanks.

And finding a local estate sale company is a fantastic way to do that. Get everything out of your house you want to keep, then they come in, price it, organize it and hold the auction--donate what is left if you like. Its fantastic.

@jahson08 classy. If there was a problem, all you had to do was tell me. They are authentic vintage Gucci--100 percent. If there was a problem. It states on my profile page that I take returns. Obviously my things are real. Those have been in a closet for years so while they looked fine, age does deteriorate things. I had zero way of predicting that outcome. Your behavior is deplorable but I'll still refund your money when you have this nasty comment removed from my page.

@jahson08 that "foil" comment would be accurate to the method of manufacture in that the thin metallic foil is applied to the leather BY HAND in high end leatherwear. It doesn't last forever, understandably. As I said, all you had to do was tell me. Remove your rudeness and get your refund 🙄

@jahson08 first of all, I can't process a refund here without a return. Second, even if the metallic foiling was peeling that has absolutely nothing to do with the structural integrity of the shoe, so you did not have to walk barefooted. You chose to. I am sorry if you were embarrassed, and as I said, I had absolutely no way of foreseeing that. The shoes looked fine even though they were vintage. I would not waste my time on such a small amount of money.

@jahson08 You paid 35 dollars for Authentic Gucci shoes, Posh took 25 percent. If I had known that would happen I would have thrown them out. I have no problem refunding the measly money. I do have a problem with your behavior and accusations when you didn't even attempt to let me handle this before you slandered me here. What someone else may have done to you here wasn't my fault. My page clearly says I take returns of there is an issue.

Hi Lisa, I just bought a LV Cartouchiere GM from another Posher, and I was looking for authenticity info on it. I found your listing of the same bag, and the heat stamp font looks the same, as well as the fact that it is too old for a date code (i.e. 1970s). So I feel a lot better about my purchase if you know yours came directly from an LV store! Thanks and if you have any other authentication tips I would love to hear them. :)

I really just follow some of the top purse blogs and authentication experts on purseblog.com (formerly purse forum), and honestly most of my purchases came directly from the store (or someone I knew and knew what store they bought in, in the case of the few I got second hand). For the most part, though, I buy from the stores themselves.

Just sell your items by describing them honestly, taking good pics, leaving good feedback, shipping quickly, and after a certain number of transactions like that, Posh will award you the status. I don't know what the particulars are but I know that is all I did to achieve it. Best of luck!
