bartonlee @vk007 We love him to pieces!!! You are so right. A great breed. We got ours as a rescue, almost 3 years ago now. He will be 8 in September but still is spunky like a pup. He’s our first Coton. My last dog was a Bishon and Toy Poodle mix. We got him as a pup and lived to the ripe old age of 18!

vk007 What a blessing to have your baby for 18 years ... I just put my boy in the photo down day after Christmas ... wasn’t expected ...:( he was 12 he had a tumor growing by his heart and was not operable . It’s as if my right arm is missing . Anyhow very sad... I want to bring in another Coton to accompany my other boy .

bartonlee @vk007 He was at a general shelter a couple of towns over, in Fall River. We just happened to walk in on the right day. We were looking for a small dog and he was the only one they had. We fell 🥰 instantly! We had never heard of the breed or knew anyone that had one. The older couple that owned him, the husband had been diagnosed terminally ill and she could not care for the dog and husband too. We were very lucky. He was too, he’s spoiled rotten!

bartonlee @vk007 I’m so sorry to hear that. Dogs are family. We were very lucky to have Oakley for 18 years. He grew up with my kids. We still miss him terribly.

marymax999518 @bartonlee Ohh that is so nice of you to rescue him! He is a lucky critter. I found a little dog once that resembles your Linus but I had an attack cat and couldn’t keep the dog. After his little paw healed, he had thorns removed by the vet, I had him vaccinated and a flea bath and hair cut, and then took him for an adoption. So hats off to you. I so wanted to trade the crazy Siamese for that cute little dog I rescued!!
