paulamilly Hey Lisa! I bought that cute bundle for my son’s gf’s daughter! She had a sensory issue and is super fussy about clothes. That little bundle was adorable on her, but she couldn’t deal with some fabrics, etc.🥴 The good news...it was a buy one get one, so I have another piece she couldn’t deal with, that I’m going to list!🙃 The seller sent a free item as well. It was a NWT top for $24.00, that she loved!🤷🏼‍♀️So basically, if I can sell everything, I’m only out the $4.99 shipping!👍

I hope you are able to stay safe🙏🏼 the restaurant I work at is opening later this week..I’m very nervous about it. In the meantime, I have picked up some cleaning gigs for 4 cute little ladies😊. Nannying for 4 year olds vs. cleaning for 88 year old ladies??? Both rather entertaining and satisfying👍

It’s August!!” August (aka Auggie) is one of our 3 furry sons and he looks exactly like your furry love bug! So I have to ask - girl or boy? And, what breed?? My brother-in-law gave us August as a puppy, and as a gift. He said he has some Collie in him but other than that, we have no idea what breed Auggie is!

barefootmuse @lherk1 We just call him “The hairiest man we’ve ever loved” 😂 and our “Mountain Man”! It’s wild to us to see another dog that looks so much like Auggie! I mean, the spots on the nose, the eyes, even the smile are all SO SO SO similar! We’ve often searched online for various breeds to try to figure out which breed he could be. We’ve jut assumed he’s a mix of breeds that we’re simply unaware of.

I promised her that next Fall, I will take her on an epic road trip to Idaho to see her true puppy love, August, the sweet collie mix found in a dumpster in Alaska! Our friend, Hannah, just left us a few weeks ago and took Auggie with. We miss them both😢

lherk1 Who are your other fur babies? I am marveling at your photos..I think we may all be kindred spirits! The 💚shaped leaf is one of my favorites to photograph! But my true season is closely upon us..WINTER!! there’s something so magical about winter, especially here on Lake Michigan. I almost moved to Hanapepe a few years ago, but my northern Michigander blood craves the frigid February temps when the snow is sparkly.

barefootmuse @lherk1 Oh I definitely think we’re all kindred spirits!!! We got him on the mainland. It’s where we reside mostly. Especially now since over the summer my Mom had to come to live with us due to medical reasons - she needed/needs care that Maui can’t provide. Brother got him in FL. We live in western mountains of NC. And wow, the synchronicity of it ALL is so beautiful!!! Our Auggie is about 5 years old now.

And we have a 2 rescues. 1 is Bear (6 yrs old), he’s a pittie & was used as a bait dog in a fighting ring in FL. A good friend of mine is a detective in FL & knows our great love of dogs so she sent me a photo of Bear & I KNEW he was meant to be ours! 2nd rescue is Hunter (1 1/2yrs old), Mountain Feist (small breed, only 12lbs!)!

It’s one of my faves, with warm goat milk, honey and cinnamon..soooo good! Your veggies and flowers are lovely! I hope you had a good season. barefootmuse @lherk1 we LOVE Winter too! We don't get as much snow as we’d like. Used to live in CO & in WA St. & loved the snow we got there. Right now it’s sub-freezing temps her but no precipitation. 😞 We do want to relocate to a higher elevation in a couple of years though. barefootmuse @lherk1 Oh & I didn’t finish about Maui. Because Mom moved here, she had to rent out our beach home. But we can still go back to visit & eventually we’ll take over the Maui home and maybe only rent it out as an Air B & B type thing. After my family and I spent over 35 years there, we have SO many family and friends there, so Maui will always be our home no matter what! And we have fam & friends all along western Coast & Montana too, so lots of places to choose to visit!

fingerlakefinds @lherk1 oh I understand that new toy excitement! My mom is doing well and is back at her assisted living. I can't go in there due to Covid restrictions for now. But she keeps me busy asking me to drop off things she wants :). We have had my mother-in-law here since 12/16 due to many Covid cases in her memory care unit. She'll go back end of this month after her second vaccine. Stay well:)

fingerlakefinds @lherk1 yes to Spring! I was out mowing and garden planning in the sun today and it felt GREAT!! Thanks for asking about mom- she got home to assisted living from her lengthy hip recovery 1/19 and on 2/6 fell again breaking her arm. Another lengthy recovery and now in a nursing home but I Can Visit now!! I just saw about your brothers illness on a comment the teddy bear I got from you in December. I'm so sorry and hope he's doing better

lherk1 @fingerlakefinds oh no!! Your poor little momma! Geez.she is having a rough go. I’m glad you are able to visit her💕 Sadly, my little brother lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer in February, a month before his 43rd birthday. My heart aches.

fingerlakefinds @lherk1 oh no I'm so sorry to hear that. That is such an aggressive cancer and so hard to see someone go through it. When my wife's brother died 5 years ago she read a book that said surviving siblings need to treat themselves "like they are in intensive care" in those first few months. I hope you feel the ((hug)) across the miles and you have good supports there.

fingerlakefinds @lherk1 - perfect time to visit! *The Wild Place in Tupper Lake *I love Blue Mtn Lake and Hemlock Lake for kayaking *Niagara Falls Canadian side is best. *Ithaca has 3 state parks with waterfalls you can climb next to, as well as cool shops and restaurants etc. *Watkins Glen for hiking/waterfalls too. *Keuka or Skaneateles Lakes are beautiful Finger Lakes. *The Finger Lakes Wine Trail has tons of wineries, many overlooking one of the lakes.
