thesearch21 hi you just mentioned in live the flowershow that u know how to get smell.out of vintage LV. I have an Epi bag from 1992 that has a bit of odor and a bit of peeling inside outer and inner pocket any suggestions please

bagladydeals @thesearch21 Epi's are GORGEOUS! Love them. First use rubbing alcohol on the interior of the bag. I am assuming it is a cloth interior, correct? Do not put rubbing alcohol on the leather. Dampen a clean rag with the rubbing alcohol and completely rub it all through the interior hitting every crevice. Then I spay lightly with a little Lysol (fragrance free unless you like otherwise), and let air unzipped for 24 hours. Keep checking the smell and repeat the process as needed. Then ...

bagladydeals @thesearch21 .... I finish by wiping down the interior with a dryer sheet. The smell is cause by mold and or bacteria so once you neutralize it, the smell is gone and the rubbing alcohol won't harm the fabric. As for the peeling...not a lot you can do short of taking it to a cobbler. But for my personal bags I seal the entire interior pocket (you are talking about the small inside pocket right) with clear gel nail polish and heat treat to finish with a blow dryer. thesearch21 @bagladydeals appreciate the tips unfortunately inside of my LV front slip and inside zip pocket is that vinyl they used. not sticky but the front slip touches actual epi leather and vinyl residue transfers to the leather. I may try soft bristle brushing it but thanks again

Most of the other shows I’ve looked at are just so well, slow and not fun. I try to balance caring for my sons while I peek at the shows. One has Down syndrome and one has Autism so if I get to peek a bit I’ll happy! Then time with the critters lol. Is there a way to send you pics?

bagladydeals @jbhoke Hi! There weren't any pics hon. It was a Quick Listing so it was shown on the camera live before I ran the auction. It was a $5 auction and sold for $27. It is a large black leather MK 3 compartment shoulder bag. It is in excellent condition except there is exposed piping, which has been sealed, on 2 corners that I described and showed before the bidding started. The other corners are perfect. If you still want the bag, I will make a quick listing for you. :)
