Did you receive information saying that I had? I have been experiencing really lengthy delays in receiving some items, and some come overnight. I will immediately look into it at my end. Are you able to do the same?

lorikharris @balticqueen I have a very bad feeling about this. I have not received the coat. Unlike other orders, the tracking shows that it was picked up in RI, on December 7. Then nothing else. It says that the tracking was last updated on December 12. There is zero tracking information since the pick up.

lorikharris I just looked at the USPS shipping info again. Suddenly the entire history appeared. If all goes well it should be delivered tomorrow, sometime. As soon as it arrives, I will give it a quick look and do the acceptance. The postal service is nuts right now with blazing fast delivery and super slow delivery.

My tracking for my daughters coat says it’s here as well, but it isn’t. I called the company where I bought the coat, and I was #103 in line waiting. I had them call me back. And they did at 9 pm that night. Ughhh

lorikharris @balticqueen I haven't decided what I will do with it. I may put in an archival box. I definitely could display it by the fireplace during the Christmas holidays. I always display precious children's items from our family's past. I believe they range in age from 50 to 75 years old.

lorikharris They include my ex-husband's classic little wooden rocking chair, a well loved sock monkey, a felt, button-jointed Peter Pan, my ex's Little Golden Book of Christmas songs and my son's 19" Paddington Bear. my son is now 53 yrs old. I just kind of gave away my age, in years. I just turned 75 in November. A couple of years ago I began my 3rd career, as a fine arts photographer. Going to run out of characters. Ta ta, for now.

lorikharris @balticqueen I will put the coat in an archival box and bring it out each Christmas. My daughter has heard me reflect on the loss of the little coat throughout the years. She is a very sentimental person and has promised ❤ gladly to be the keeper of the coat when I have passed on.

lorikharris She has my Mother's cedar chest. That is where all of the christening gowns, birth certificates, baptismal certificates and many other items are kept. The little coat? It's not mine in truth, but it represents so much more. Therefore, it holds great value.

lorikharris I have never worn red with any frequency, but I restored my 1885 vernacular Queen Anne home about 25 yrs ago. One day I looked around at the 1st and 2nd parlors and was shocked to see all of the red! lorikharris a pair of mama and papa chairs and the mellow old softened red of my 100+ yr sofa. Red and gold striped throw pillows are here too. So I must unconsciously like red. My upstairs bath has red walls (yup) mixed with gold, a beautiful old clawfoot tub that I painted black. I also had the feet plated brass. This is complemented by a black marble floor. The room is very large. And tada! my bedroom is painted

lorikharris guess what? the color is 'pizza sauce,'! The top of the stair tower is painted...raspberry coulis. All this done, rather unknowingly, by a woman who isn't particularly fond of the color red. To top it off I painted my house in historically accurate Rockwood colors...the main color? dark, dark Rookwood...you guessed it...dark, dark red!!! Haha. Funny you should mention that you surround yourself with red decor.

balticqueen @lorikharris Oh I love your stories. They are very similar to mine, housewife. I have only lived in historical registered houses since I was married, painted dark red, the Sturbridge Village Reds. I now have red bathroom, and I had a claws foot tub in my red house, was painted red. I am now alone so I bought a condo in a historical school where I was a assistant teacher. It is all open area, floor to ceiling window.

balticqueen @lorikharris Wide plank pine floors, and all the red appliances. The school was made into 17 condos. I bought one. It really is great, exposed huge pipes on the ceiling, built in book hutch, still there as when I worked here. Like mill living. In New England where a lot of mills are sitting and empty, they make them into condos. I love it. I couldn’t manage my house on my own. I thought I would never sell it, but when I saw this, welllll......a new story began. I have all primitive furniture.

balticqueen Hi Lorraine, I didn’t get my coat today. I called the Co and they said it’s going to be a few more days. The tr # is not accurate , because they told me yesterday it was here in my town. So the little red coat prolly (That’s RI slang for probably} will be late as well. I called PO too and she said everything is like a week late. If you want to cancel your order, i understand. So today I bought my friend a rain jacket at the same store, paid expedited shipping of 12 and they say that it may not get here til next week. Today I did not act like an Christian lady I knock. One of my cards got hacked thru Amazon for a lot of $$. I was on the phone with them and Chase bank all day. I am just so upset.

lorikharris I just received, 12 hours ago, (according to Poshmark) seven of your messages that I had never seen! What an agony it can be to have a credit card hacked! These people are seldom, if ever, caught. Not to sound extreme, but I feel that the world is beset with evil now. It has always been with us in dark corners but it seems to have boldly stepped out into the light.
