@rachelds843 Hi Rachel, I got back in town late yesterday afternoon. My mail was waiting. Thanks. The skirt is a size 4, the the whole suit was a size 6 ☹. It also has a little snag in it. The jacket has patches of off-color around the top buttons on the inside that can be seen if you wear the collar down. ☹

Rachel, good call that the picture is a Pointer. This is LJ, an young male English Setter that I bred. English Setters are a pointing breed of hunting dogs.

I now resort to buying separates not my size and having them altered. 🤩

@rachelds843 i wish, but no, actually sinfully altered! These are ones that have been sold and resold (as indicated by the wear) so I dont feel too terrible about it.
Actually pink is my signature color for some reason. Everyone thinks it is my favorite color so all gifts are usually pink! Or Tiffany blue, wink wink. I have pink dog crates, clothes, leashes grooming tables, on and on.

@rachelds843 I actually am trying to beef up the pink portion of my wardobe. The last few pieces i had just didnt fit right and someone at a show offered to buy them right off my back, I changed and they went home with my pink things.

@rachelds843 Oh not to worry, I've only had 2 jackets altered. They came from ebay and were heavily used and cost only about $30 each. My nice things that i purchase, if they don't fit, I just sell them or give them to friends as presents. All of my good suits and my pieces are still pristine , but when time comes to clean them Ill contact the St John store in Boston or NYC to get cleaner recommendations.

I have too much invested in my nice things to have them ruined. I could tell you horror stories from friends who took their suits to cleaners that said they could clean SJK and came back like trash.

@rachelds843 one of my friends took her St John suit (stunning and covered in paillettes) to a cleaner in NH and came back with NO PAILLETTES. The cleaner said it wasn't their fault!
She was mortified and cried for days.

We buy many things on ebay as we wear them at dogs shows. We are pretty rough on these clothes. Dogs jumping on us, pawing at us, getting caught in rain outside, too hot, too cold, on and on. That's why we dont want to spend too much, we want to look nice, but also realize we're dealing with dogs. Some clients bring us nasty filthy dogs that have to be bathed, etc.

Thursday is my Monday because my week of shows is thurs-sun. Up at 4:30, to shows grooming, bathing, showing until late night when dogs are put to bed. Tomorrow is my friday. Monday is my saturday where I rest. Work at the hospital, bust rest compare to thurs-sun!
