mhirsch39 @qhsorbust I moved from NY to afl. So far UPS lost 5 boxes. So far I found everything but skirt of set and jeans. I have to find the jeans box. I have everything else . Might get it in large box. I’ll let you know tomorrow. If I can’t find those 2 just let me know what else you want so I can figure lower prices.

qhsorbust @mhirsch39 thank you, she’s my 11 year old corgi! I delivered her so she’s always been my sidekick! Keep her in your prayers cause I had to change her insulin today and she’s acting off. She was diagnosed with diabetes a couple of months ago. Between the move and the pandemic, they triggered the diabetes. She’s a certified therapy dog and because of the pandemic she hasn’t been able to do what she loves doing, making people in need happy. She’s amazing and I love her beyond words!

qhsorbust @6151richmond right after she eats which is what the vet prescribed. My dad died 3 years ago from complications with diabetes and I know with him we tested his sugar before he ate. The biggest problem I have with Tiny is getting her to eat.

6151richmond @qhsorbust I’m a type 1 diabetic. You can give insulin after she eats and give enough to cover the amount. If you give her insulin before, she might not eat enough or not eat at all. Also sounds like she is associating eating with a shot. I would wait until after she eats only if she eats enough to cover the insulin given.

6151richmond @qhsorbust Insulin should be warm, stings when it’s cold. I leave mine out for 1/2 hour before then hold in my hand until bottles are warm. Pinching the skin while injecting helps with pain as needle goes in. I am not sure why the vet said before meals. Insulin for dogs, cats is always given after they eat. Test before, if less than 200, no need for insulin.

qhsorbust @6151richmond yes she’s very smart and didn’t take her long to figure out that after breakfast she gets a shot! So I just had to find something that she likes so much she doesn’t care about the little stick afterwards!! Scrambled egg with cottage cheese and a slice of cheese! I’ve given literally thousands of shots so she doesn’t flinch! Plus the insulin needles are so small I don’t think they hurt, at least they don’t bother me!

qhsorbust When I was caring for my dad when mom and I had him home, I always did his finger sticks and gave him his insulin. He was on 2 different types of insulin. Daddy said I was the best at poking him with needles!!!

6151richmond @qhsorbust I have been giving myself shots for over 40 years and still hurts sometimes. I dread it every day. Of all the spots, stomach is the least amount of pain.

Right when the pandemic started I had to put my amazing best friend down. A 90 lb Pit named Barkley. It devastated me. I just adopted another dog with this move but I miss Barkley every single day. Please forgive me for the work you did gathering things up. I’m sorry about your Barkley, I can’t even think about putting Tiny to sleep. Treating her diabetes is VERY expensive but as long as she’s happy and not in pain I’ll do whatever I can for her.

qhsorbust @naolasboutique I had to say goodbye to my beloved corgi, Tiny, yesterday, loosing her battle with diabetes. Her body was shutting down. She was my support and therapy dog for 11.5 years, her entire life. She had been doing pretty good up until the last couple of days. She was so smart and knew it was time. She passed peacefully in my arms. You’re a corgi mom you know exactly what wonderful companions they are 🙃
