@valjohnhank I have a question about one chanel scarf and one louis vuitton pashmina I received as gifts. They both have tags on them. I don't know if they are authentic. I believe they are but I don't want to get in trouble. I live in a small town and have no way to verify that. What do I do?

@lorr414 I googled how to tell the authenticity of a Chanel Scarf & here a few things I came across on an eBay blog:
The CHANEL in 'sans serif” font, not serifs font
That’s the first thing to look for.

@lorr414 If you touch a steamer to it or a steam iron on low, silky polyester gives off a distinct chemically odor which you'll not smell with real silk.

@lorr414 The stitching on the hem is done with a blind hemming machine in order to look like it is hand rolled. Using a blind hemmer is one of the tricks of counterfeit items.
