nanahe Hi! You commented on one of my listings yesterday (AVEDA) saying it was past it’s shelf life. Would you mind telling me where you got that information? I immediately deleted the listing since I would not want to sell expired skincare to anyone and I was not sure when I got it. (You may have been right about the time line.)

nanahe When I got home I checked it, thinking I would have to throw it out. It did not smell rancid (or as you put it “disgusting”) at all(!) so I went to look it up. The information that I found from an Aveda salon showed a shelf live (unopened!! product) of three years, not two. The products themselves show 24 months, once opened - which I had not previously done. So I would like some clarification on this if you don’t mind.

nanahe I also distinctly remember that when Aveda discontinued my favorite face wash they took it off their website for a short time and then kept selling it at a discount (I believe 20%off) for years(!). I remember that because I was actually starting to wonder about shelf life myself. But I trust that the company knows their own products. Is it possible that you are simply misreading the label?

415orchard I work for aveda on a corporate level so I know their product and every ingredient that goes into it. Because they are such a natural and organic product their ingredients only have a shelf life of two years opened or not opened. Sorry 🥺🥴

nanahe @415orchard thank you for getting back to me and no need to be sorry! I buy a lot of Aveda products, so I have a genuine interest in getting a reliable answer to this. This is good to know! I will refrain from buying their liter sizes in the future and also from stocking up on product (tempting as it may be for double points). I guess I was just lucky that none of their products went bad on me before. 😳 Btw. make sure to always hit reply. I almost didn’t see your comment.

415orchard @nanahe hi again, I Definitely use my Aveda product past there shelf life but I just use them in myself or my family😊 I just wouldn’t sell them or use them on clients. I still think there fine to use especially if they don’t smell bad, because the double points are definitely worth it!!😁😊 BTW we are doing 25% off everything in the whole store starting 21st So tomorrow at flatirons mall, but it is nation wide since I work for corporate Aveda😉 best of luck and cheers

415orchard @rockstarsue thank you yes I did Its bigger than I though, I think it will be perfect I haven’t used yet but I’ll keep you up dated I think it will be good for traveling I just applied for a Assistant manager job. So Kyle I’ll need it for more office stuff I’m a aesthetician by trade for the past 32 Years so I’m stepping out of doing facials and lash Extensions and doing more of an office job what I call Semi retired 😁😁😁
