lynn_825 @annick100 - I'm in northern NJ. Funny about sewing - my mom is an expert and would be horrified to learn that I take my clothes to the tailor, even just for hemming. My husband bought me a sewing machine last summer, and I now have a giant pile of things that need to be hemmed -stubbornly sure that I'll get to it eventually! Happy to share later!

annick100 I'm so glad you found your 'stash' spot!! Ours truly is too expensive, but we sit in middle of stupidly $$$$ county, so can't use much. I DO take my daughter there to shop! lol- I go to TONS of clothes 'Thursday-Sat Estate Sales & Auctions' rarely garage sales. There are certain neighborhoods I concentrate on for 'estate sales' & I look online.

annick100 Also there are electronic auction houses I sometimes use- so I can concentrate on certain areas: nationally. The saddest are the total liquidation sales; usually bankruptcy or tax issues... but I know if I don't buy the next vultures will & I like to think I take such good care of items, cleaning properly, storing properly, and if special, researching the back-story, it's better I buy😉.

annick100 Last, I have several women I'd call shopaholics. I've met them through local Facebook "garage sale-buy-trade sites" usually separated by suburbs or tiny municipalities surrounding Denver. You may have them too. People sell EVERYTHING on them. Sometimes I'll come across really nice clothes @ right price & when I go by to pick up they start bringing out piece after piece, bags of jewelry etc... we get friendly, I give them my card, & voila-

annick100 they just call me after a shopping binge to sell some 'old' things (as in a few months) to assuage their guilt 😉. So I keep a little 'slush fund for calls' --that could work, & last, 2 towns over has an AMAZING Goodwill, and Wednesday's are half-off. They now have a 'designer' room/area' & you never know what you'll find. All part of the fun for me. Also, I've taken a textile restoration class, sew, paint, upholster, embroider...,-so I have fun bringing certain pieces back to life!

annick100 Last tip- & I share w/ FEW- I heard Target carries but for sure thegrommet.com carries plus tons more products I use for clothes- it's called 'the gleaner.' I promise, takes out every kind of fabric 'pill' and seater build up etc. there's a quick video on grommet. So many helpful tools on thegrommet- my fav site other than Posh, in the world 😉. I'm frustrated with the Posh app; I take all of my pics on my phone and then upload them to Posh, but they look cropped. For example, all of my dress shots are posted with the top and then the bottom of the dress because the app cropped them too short. I'll have to retake them, I'll have to wait for a sunny day to take pics! Hope all's well! I agree - wish we were neighbors!
