@siennaacre thank you so much. I am new to this. Have inherited a huge amount of clothing alot of St. John clothing along with high end brands. My sister is on here and has done well so thought I'd give it a shot. Any recommendations?

Hi @mrich1, I started as a buyer and then began selling a few months in. The most common advice is to follow and share other closets for exposure. If you like, you can request to join a Facebook group called The Posh Society, which I recently joined and so far has some good advice for new sellers. Navigate to Groups in FB and search for "theposhsocietygroup" (not be confused with similarly named groups unrelated to Poshmark). Good luck and feel free to tag me with any specific questions! :)

Welcome to Posh! Its a very social & supportive community so if you ever have any questions or need help...there's always a Posher to answer! Or visit my closet & I'd be happy to help. SHARING is KEY! When U "share" an item to your "followers", it goes into the " feed" for them to see. The more followers U have, the more the item is seen! So....the more followers U have then....the more potential sales your going to have! Any questions? Ask me.👍

@hotpantsrhoads I think I started out too high with my St. John items but have decreased most. I searched for what an average seems to be on here...a lot of these pieces are 1,000+ so don't want to give away but also want to sell them!!

I think you are online price wise a few things you should up for a few reason they have price drops with cheaper shipping from time to time & when people make you an offer you want to have wiggle room👍 Keep that in mind when pricing.

@hotpantsrhoads Hi, you were so helpful on here when I started my closet and was hoping I could ask your advise. My sister (@lgiancola) and I are leaving for Florida tomorrow until April 1st!! Yay!!! We both were talking about all the time we would have to dedicate towards Posh, however do we have to mark our closets as "closed" or can we just put up a notice that we will be out of town. Thank you so much!!!

Awe you are so welcome😘🤗 if an item sells it will be hard to explain so I would mark all your listings as NFS until u come back & put a note up that you are closed & when you will be returning this way you won't get so many notices & if you need down time turn off notices until U are ready to Posh again. I hope you both have a great time & see you when you return 😘

Or you can do a short on vacation note & that no items are for sale until you return or you can't ship until then👍 It is up to you. Since it is a short time away I would do a note make it first & when u can ship or answer ?'s sounds better.

@shopups the tag lists it as "Parisian Pink." I would consider it "hot pink!" Also want to make sure we are talking about the same skirt? Size 6 and it has white and black trim at the bottom?
