Hi! I'm Maggie Thanks for stopping by! I have been away from Poshmark for awhile and I am just starting up again. .We moved to a smaller home and that kept me pretty busy. It’s good to be back. maggiefield26 @dajco Hi there, . I have neglected my poshmark site for a while away on my honeymoon. Now that I am back I want to get back on track and I have a few questions . Like how to take pics in a square format. That one has me stumped

dajco @maggiefield26 Congratulations and welcome back!!! A honeymoon trumps all LOL! I take my photos on either my phone or IPad both of which have a square option on the camera. But since I sell on other platforms which do not use square photos, I usually take regular photos and then use the Crop feature in the Poshmark app...just use your fingers to shrink at least your cover shot. Hope that helps!

dajco @maggiefield26 No bother at all! Just click on your listing. Tap the “edit” icon. Your listing photos will come up with little “x” in the corner. Click on that and you will be asked if you want to delete. Then click on a blank photo space, add your photo from your photos, and swipe it to your desired position. Then just list. Or if you haven’t used all 8 photo spots, just go to Edit, click on the empty spot to add the photo and swipe to its desired spot. Hope that answers your question.

dajco @maggiefield26 That you did! Never ever respond to an email request. It can get you barred from Poshmark. Plus there’s always something fishy about someone who asks.

dajco @maggiefield26 Yay! 🎉You’re not behind at all. No one really knows...that’s why questions are important. When you share, you’re sharing with your followers, but are also bumping up your listings in the search results for everyone. Many professional Poshers recommend sharing 3 times a day at a minimum, but many share as often as 8-10 times a day. Sounds like a lot, but it only rakes a minute.

dajco I too thank people for offers & likes. You can always do that by clicking on the item, click on comment, put the “@“ first then their screen name and add your comment be it a thank you or an explanation of why you accepted or countered. Their offer. Hope that helps! It took me forever to learn this stuff...I don’t think the FAQ/ support are very clear. 🧐

dajco @maggiefield26 Hi there! Parties are a great way to share a listing that fits the party’s theme. So instead of sharing to your followers, you click share to party which will show as an option at that time plus 2 hours after. You are targeting a specific group of buyers interested in that theme.

maggiefield26 @dajco Hi dajco, my next question is oertaining to mailing. I sold a coat on Sunday couldnt mail it on Monday (Needed a bigger box) so I mailed it Tuesday. It just arrived now. It went from ct to georgia 3 and a half days. I feel bummed for the buyer. I am going to go to the post office and Complain but I dont know what else to do

dajco @maggiefield26 I think that CT to GA is 3 day no matter what. And you can’t count 1/2 days since the USPS only guaranteed delivery before 8 PM. Nothing to do with you! I would suggest picking up a few boxes in every size to have at the ready or you can order them for free on-line. But it saves a lot of grief to have them sitting & waiting! Congrats on the sale 👍🎉

dajco @maggiefield26 Great! Remember Poshmark keeps stats on when you mail. I would also recommend getting some of the Priority Mail Tyvek envelopes. They’re handy because not all boxes fit in a mailbox and sometimes you can’t make it to an actual post office. I keep them on hand as a back up. And you’re right. I sell on 2 other platforms, but I always go with Poshmark first even though it’s twice the fees...just because it’s the easiest! Will be watching your closet for more listings!🙂

dajco @maggiefield26 Poshmark collects the money when the offer is placed so you’re always covered. They’ll release the $ 3 days after delivery.. That’s why you should always sell within Poshmark...no scams. 🙂

dajco @maggiefield26 They don’t really have to do anything if they don’t want or for some reason can’t. Posh starts the countdown from the time the oks was delivered and automatically releases the $ after 3 days. I’ve had Poshmark release the $ and a couple of days the buyer has rated the item. So no worry...

maggiefield26 @djaco I bought a bag on poshmark and want to return it. Its too small and it has an overwhelming smell of pergume which I am allergic to. Is returning frowned upon? I dont want her to get a bad rating but I cant tolerate the bag

I wanted to make a purchase so I could understand the experience from the buyers point of view. I learned to be more specific about size and measurements and let people know about allergies.
