squeakie @malloryvwalker you can also schedule an at home pick up. But to be 100% sure nothing happens you can take the package to the counter and get a receipt, but you have wait in line. But counter drop off, blue boxes, and home pick ups are all viable options!

malloryvwalker @squeakie sorry to bother you, one more question lol so if the post office is closed when I get off work I can’t drop it off right? I did this wrong with a package a few years ago that already had the shipping paid for and I don’t want to make that mistake again...dropping it off in person on my lunch is my best choice right?

squeakie @malloryvwalker no extra postage is required at all. Your best bet is to drop off packages on your lunch break. However if your post office has a blue box outside it's safe to drop off in there as long as it fits!
