Hi! I'm Marey. I joined Posh to sell things I no longer use or wear, in hopes of buying more things I'll one day no longer use or wear. However, when one of my fur babies was diagnosed w/Addison’s Disease, I’ve been using sales to cover his expenses & a few other special needs pups taken in too! mugsyj @annluggen crazy you would say that... as he has gotten more mature I am more and more convinced he has some mastiff in him. He is Dexter, he just turned 1, he is a rescue with Addison's disease. My only furBOY...I was told his mom was coonhound and his dad was a lab. Im more convinced now! Lol Sam is adorable and fluffy!!!!

annluggen @mugsyj he has a true mastiff face but not any mastiff as some are very droopy. Looks like Sam! So sorry about the health problems. Sam is a rescue also, a lucky one but he tore something like a rotator cuff early on, yow. Expensive surgery!!

mugsyj @annluggen aww poor boy! Glucosamine and chondroitin would be good for him maybe even a teaspoon of Olive or coconut oil in his food once per day... it does wonders for the joints. Yes I was really sad to hear his diagnosis, after I was told to put him down because he "probably has Leptospirosis and it rarely curable". Glad his eyes told me to call another Vet. $60 per mos for his life saving injection. But they're worth it... you know... :)

mugsyj @strandsofdreams Addison’s disease is an autoimmune disease that affects the endocrine system. His body doesn’t produce cortisol which helps all mammals deal with stress. Without it, they overproduce potassium and under produce saline. That throws his body into dehydration mode n his kidneys start failing. It’s pretty crazy. And thank you! I love helping animals. 🥰
