Meet your Posher, Margaret

Hi! I'm Margaret. I am an artist (Instagram: msmcrowley) and I do a lot of art related things like paint on canvas, paper, boards, clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, and walls. I do glass work- stained glass, mosaics, and fusing. I sew clothes, quilts, and bags. If see something I want, my first impulse is try and make it. My closet is eclectic because my tastes are. Currently, I’d describe myself as a maximalist. If I love a pair of shoes, I’ll get 2 pair- one to kick around in and one to keep nice - think of it as “Oscar’s” and “Felix’s” (from the odd couple) shoes. I love jewelry but I don’t wear it much since I make art every day. I started painting larger than life luxury rings (I am drawing a beautiful necklace in graphite right now) and it has satisfactorily replaced the desire to own these things. I can’t afford what I want so whatever I buy is merely a consolation whereas a giant painting of one these luxury rings takes it off my hand (or more likely, out of my jewelry box) and places it on the wall for my gazing pleasure. And it’s ART! Anyways, I’m happily divorced after being pleasantly married for 29 years. My kids are doing their own lives and I’m curious what it’d be like to have less. Like a lot less. Help me in my quest to become a minimalist! Buy my stuff! With costume jewelry purchases, I often include companion pieces or something extra, because I have so much of it!
