portugal63 @amarciascloset I came to the U.S. when I was 2 and my parents never sold their ancestral land and home. I inherited my parent's home in the District of Coimbra and I go back every summer. I still have about 5 years to retire. It's a different pace of living and the weather is great!

amarciascloset @portugal63 lucky you! I spent many years in my 20’s in Italy & I love Europe. I’ve been wanting to go to Portugal for many years. We’ve been to Brazil for work a few times, but that only helped a little w/the language for me. He culture is so different! I’m hoping we can make it work & my husband can work there.

amarciascloset I hope so for you & the world as a whole!! Life is so different there & neighbors are real neighbors! They have a saying in Italy. Americans live to work & Italians work to live. I think that’s probably the same attitude in Portugal.
