Hi! I’m just seeing your offer and I’m considering it. I’m worried about shipping it, I’m not really sure how to do so… I don’t think post office insurance covers an amount this high. I’m opening an inquiry with Posh to see what they suggest.

@holly456 hi! The insurance with usps or fedex or ups can cover that amount. Also making the delivery signature only will ensure I’ll receive it ok. Also are there any issues with the brooch? (Damage, chips cracks to the stone, issues with the gold?) the surrounding metal is definitely gold? It’s so stunning and beautiful!! I’m a huge bird lover and just adore it has birds. Thank you for the consideration.Hoping to make this work!

@chilerx hi! Ok that’s great to know! I asked Posh how to change the label to signature required. It’s a beautiful beautiful brooch. It’s definitely real gold, no chips or issues with it.

The center is is only held in place by the gold setting and when you shake it there is slight movement, however it’s secure and in place. I wish I could find a true antique jeweler that specializes in Asian jewelry to appraise it, the regular jewelers only see the jade and gold value and don’t take into account the true craftsmanship/work and historical age of the piece which in my opinion is what makes it so magnificent.

I uploaded it to “Just Answer” and paid for an antique appraiser to view it online who said it was at least over 100 years old and at bare minimum valued at $2500.. he suggested I sell at an Asian auction house (which I never got around to finding) I’m waiting for Posh to respond, I’m also in and out of meetings today, I will most likely accept the offer
