m_cosgrove Maria, It was purchased as Stirling silver. Its very heavy and was halmarked 925. It also tarnished like silver. I'm not sure why your saying it is not silver but if it is not silver, please send it back. I want you to be happy. I have over 500 5-star reviews and I'd never try to knowingly mislead anyone.
