mk_rose_bud It’s wonderful to rescue animals (preferably dogs) ... two of ours are rescues, as I’ve written and Barrow was kinda rescued from a breeder whose doggie dad, didn’t like him. I’m sure you’ll agree, they bring a lot of love into the family. 🐶🐾

As soon as hubby retired from the power co., we hightailed it to the mountains of NC & haven't regretted it for a minute. foresttreasures the universe revolves around her, a 12 yr old beagle that has selective hearing & loves to get out the door & run around the mountain with us chasing him, & a rescue chihuahua named Stanley. He showed up 1 day in FL, decided we were his humans, & that was that. He rescued us & is a joy every day. Did I mention it was TOO HOT & HUMID in FL? 😍

foresttreasures We too, had a Toby. He was a lover boy, part black lab/spaniel. Dylan, our beagle is also very sweet, couldn't hurt a fly if he had to. Just doesn't listen! We had another beagle, Kirby, that we lost last yr at age 13. He was a good little boy, much smaller that Dylan. He liked to travel, where Dylan is a mess in the car for some reason. foresttreasures credit for giving Joe the will to live. I truly believe that. He never left his lap once he came home from the hospital & brought him love & joy & constant companionship. We would love to get another midget, but right now we are taking care of 2 stray cats too, so that is enough mouths to feed at the moment. We also feed deer, wild turkeys, a possum, & whatever other critters come by everyday. Whew!
