Hi! I'm Marilyn. Thanks for stopping by. I live in the Mojave Desert with my fantastic musician husband and two Jindo dog rescues who are really more people than dog. 😉 I love to take jaunts into Joshua Tree National Park to indulge my love of photography - it's so incredibly unique and beautiful there. I'm lucky to have it as my back yard! As a child of the 70's and 80's, I love that Hippie/Rock 'n Roll style and particularly love vintage jewelry from those eras. I think I'll put in insole in them and wear a little thicker socks and they will be absolutely PERFECT!! They are SO much more beautiful in person - you are dead right about that!!

jt_tumbleweeds @1kittendeville 😊 and Thank you back! Great closet! They're actually Jindos - a primitive Korean breed! But you're right, Jindos were used to create Shibas (Akitas too!) And you can see the resemblance! Shibas are smaller though (And ornerier, I hear) Good eye! I love my Jindos!

Such a gentle giant :) ....yep, that apple pie is a standout! The main part of the trip was to do Passport to Purity w him, but we took in horseback riding & the stars & some other sights...ever been to the little tea house there? A must do :D

It would have been mine. :) I am retired from Occupational Therapy so we have health care in common too! iejewett @jt_tumbleweeds your night photos are beautiful what time of year did you take them? I did a photo tour in Sedona, hoping to capture a night sky but that didn’t happen due to a number of issues. What settings did you use? I have a Nikon 5500 and some good lenses but am a rank amateur so most of my shots are pure luck! As for my closet, I hope to update and organize it.

jt_tumbleweeds @laurafay Oh wow! I used to drive through Mojave regularly, though been awhile now. I worked in healthcare and have retired early with all that's been going on. Hope you will be enjoying retirement soon - I love it! Jeff does Bass, Guitar and Vocals. He recently got a new 12 string and is really loving it. :)

jt_tumbleweeds @laurafay I saw that. So sad. I didn't know them, but sure seems each year the Mojave Desert takes a few. Those roads can be so desolate - the heat is absolutely unforgiving. We have a few who die here in JT each year too. Heck, yesterday I saw a guy down my dirt road, lying on the ground under his truck - fortunately he was ok & just trying to figure out how to fix his tire, but I checked on him twice just to make sure he had water & someone to help him. The Desert is unforgiving.

derigueur @jt_tumbleweeds I just turned in my resignation today! I have some surgeries ahead but hoping to be back to my old self within a year. 1st was breast cancer then meds wrecked my joints so I'm becoming the bionic woman. I turn 63 in October.

Not sure what I'll become next but hoping to do some things I've always dreamed of. About to finally get to be with the love of my life. Met him 39 years ago but our planets have never aligned, so to speak, until now. What sort of work have you done?

I worked in Occupational Therapy - primarily Pediatrics and Mental Health. So sorry to hear about the CA - just had a friend go through that - hope they got it all.
