Hi! I'm Mary, and I hope to make shopping my closet effortless by using clear photos with colors shown accurately, as well as details--including any flaws. I include in my descriptions numerous details that I always look for when I'm considering a purchase. If I wouldn't buy it, I won't sell it. I don't ship dirt, so all clothing, down to the soles of shoes, are cleaned before I list. If a stain can be removed, I remove it. Anything I can't fix will be disclosed so you know what you're getting!

maresaddiction @sassystilyst Hi—I think I ‘unliked’ them because they’re WAY more than I can pay. I lost my job a year ago and am on disability, and I just totaled my car, so I’m screwed. I have a ton of turquoise sandals ‘liked,’ and I haven’t had a chance to go thru and compare them so I can shorten the list. Many are between $10 and $20, which is my max, so I think I ‘unliked’ yours, even though I love them.

I give very good deals as things sit in my inventory, so if you keep the "like" there it will tell you when it hits your comfortable price point. But if you're not on there you'll never know. maresaddiction @merryshaw But if I use the return label, won’t you get charged by Poshmark for the return label? This has happened to me before—I ordered a set of sheets that were supposed to be ‘like new,’ only there were 3 small holes in them. The seller said she hadn’t noticed the holes and agreed to refund me w/o my returning the sheets, and Poshmark just credited me back and closed the ticket. I just don’t want Poshmark to charge you $6.79 (or whatever it is) for my returning an empty envelope to you. 😳

That reference goes back a couple of decades—My sis-in-law is used to having nice things (she’s a love btw) and I once damaged her dining room table. She didn’t care at all. But we grew up poor and shabby, so I felt this shame. On the way home, I said to my sister that I felt like my ‘inner ghetto’ had come out after wrecking their table. We laughed until we cried. 😂

shortskirt_long Thank you for your excellent rating on your purchase! I'm glad you loved the items although the color in the photos were off. I do not have an iPhone, but use the color controls on my Samsung and also the filters on Poshmark to deliver the truest color representation that I can. The two items you purchased happen to both have specific color profiles that can be hard to capture. Thanks for your advice and I will keep trying to represent my items with accurate colors.

I spend so much time on the photos, it's ridiculous, but I can't bring myself to list photos that are too dark or where the color is wrong, or there's crap in the background. So I edit, edit, edit, until it looks exactly (or close) to the real thing. I spent an entire week correcting the photos for the red jewelry box, and that's more the rule than the exception! I'll be (slowly) listing more stuff--it's endless!

My husband grew up with 2 of them! They really are such characters! I definitely prefer them or at least would like to continue to have one Boston in the house for as long as we can! 💚💙😍🤗

maresaddiction @whatsnew354 A year and a half means he’s still as wild as a March hare—I’m so jelly! 😄 Otis was a torpedo at that age. I had to train him out of face-butting me (and to give gentle ‘lovies’) because he nearly knocked my nose into the back of my skull a few times! 😝 He was good, though; just rambunctious! You def have to have one always—they’re such lovable little clowns! 🤡❤️🤡

whatsnew354 @maresaddiction That sounds EXACTLY like Grey! 😂 He recently hurt his knee, he has a grade 3 luxated patella I think the diagnosis was. He will need knee surgery to fix the patella issue so it doesn't keep popping off the groove.

whatsnew354 @maresaddiction 😕 It's crazy because he's not even 2 yet. But he's so crazy always zooming around the yard 🤣 Hopefully he's okay. The down time is 12 weeks unfortunately 😔 he's not going to like that but it's for his own good to fix it now before it gets worse. They said it will only worsen with age.

maresaddiction @whatsnew354 I think BTs must have a structural anomaly from all the inbreeding. They have the frame of a smaller dog, but the musculature of a larger one. I think they sometimes sustain soft tissue injuries because their muscle mass lets them exert more force than their frames can tolerate. Otis was only 2 the first time he injured his back after LEAPING to an impossible height to catch a frisbee. But when he landed—hard—his back went out like an old man’s. 😫

whatsnew354 @maresaddiction That is a really good theory! It makes a ton of sense. My older dog just had a back injury. He's Beagle, Choco Lab, and Pit. But he is prone to the bad back from the Beagle in him. Awe poor Otis!

whatsnew354 @maresaddiction Back issues are the worst! When Drogo's back went out he couldn't really move. We only have 3 steps to the back yard and he couldn't go up or down we had to carry him and he's 45lb 😅 definitely got tough after a while. 💪🏽😂 It was really most difficult because we couldn't do it without him squealing so we knew he needed to see the vet bc he was in so much pain. 😕

maresaddiction @whatsnew354 He was a black and white bullet! They just think that because they CAN, they SHOULD, when often the opposite is true! I found out when he was old that he had a genetic BT thing called ‘roach back,’ and it made his spine curve upward too much from his middle back towards his (stub of a) tail. Maybe that’s what caused his back injuries whenever he’d vault over here or heave himself over there. 😂

I need a job first anyway. Otis literally ate up half of my paycheck with all his designer dog food and raw meat and vitamins and supplements. Wee beastie ate better than I did! I hope one day I’ll be keep a rescued BT in the style to which Otis became accustomed. 😍

First 4 managers gave me outstanding reviews, like I walked on water or something. The last one is a sociopath and a narcissist and he tortured and bullied me for the last 2 of my 25 yrs before firing me. I’m still dealing with the ptsd. I wish I could just retire and be done with people and their Machiavellian BS forever. 😅

maresaddiction @8153beagles You’re more than welcome—he made my day and will be treasured. I found the PERFECT spot for him in the bathroom, and he’s perfectly adorable there.. Thank you so much for the gentle care you took with him—he looks new! I posted some photos of my bathroom—he’s in a couple of them, of course—on one of my listings, if you’re interested in seeing his new digs! Everything is coastal, so naturally I couldn’t pass him by! The photos are on the listing with the coral hibiscus flower. 😊

maresaddiction @wandaroo Awww, thank you! His name was Otis, and he passed away in 2009. He was such a silly, funny little clown, and he ruined us for any other breed. Beautiful, to boot. I’d like to finally adopt another BT, but finances won’t permit at the moment. But they are the best little doggies, for sure!

maresaddiction @wandaroo He went to 16.5, which is really up there for a BT, so don’t despair—you’ve probably got several years left with yours. Otis started getting the grey hairs a couple of years earlier than yours, but it just made him look ‘distinguished.’ lol

maresaddiction @cutehosiery Hi! Thank you so much for the encouragement! My closet is nearly bare, but I have a ton of stuff to photograph and list—I just haven’t had the time! I share a few times every day, and at the evening parties, too. The remaining stuff in my closet has been in there a long time, so I’ll probably have to cut the prices down to the point of pain if I’m to sell them!
