ivyellen76 Hi there! I started my closet three years ago to pay for my Maggie’s melanoma treatment. It’s such a hard thing to go through! Posh helped but I also got help through the Live Like Roo Foundation - they helped pay for some of her care. It’s an amazing organization - you may want to check them out! bluepuppies Thanks, I knew his cancer would win, but he fought it for 31 months, miss him so badly. That beagle pix looks almost exactly like a beagle I had. Losing 3 dogs in 5 years is hard!! I rescued 2 Aussies from a lady on chemo who couldn't take care of them anymore and they will get some pix on soon.They keep my other dog a bit happier, except they are brother & sister and very rambunctious with each other, super sweet when inside, but are getting a bit more inclusive of my other doggy, herding her

fashion4fatima Skippy, my standard poodle is in doggie heaven, too. He passed in 1981 and I still have not been able to get a new dog (very sad) and I'm a dog lover. He took all my heart with him. My husband is a cat lover, we have 4 cats now and we are presently on our 4th batch of 4 (so sad).

bluepuppies @fashion4fatima we rescued 2 Aussies right after he died, because my other doggy was so lonely, and couldn't get another doggy before he died because of the lymphoma, his immune system was shut down with the chemo & cancer, Dr said another dog might have germs that would kill him. one of these days I'll get another golden, but it's too painful now.

bluepuppies @fashion4fatima these 2 yr olds are very active & they are good company for my other dog, she was sooo. lonely. I still look at his pix, not like u don't see golden retriever puppies everywhere!! one of these days I'll get another one, they are the greatest loving babies, but 1 in 8 gets cancer, and I just can't take that chance right now. I'm extremely allergic tocats, but they are great companions.

fashion4fatima Yeah, you don't have to explain to me a broken heart, I understand. I have friends who just move on and get a new puppy every time their golden retriever passes. They say its hard but would be harder without a new dog to keep on loving and I get that, too. Honestly, I admire their willingness to open their hearts again to cancer ravaging their dog, I wish I were so STRONG.
