@meghanlongtin I didn’t want to keep posting on empty hangers post so i came over here - hope you don’t mind. I liked the cancer connection and am so curious about other thrifters and but it can be so awkward to start talking about it! What do you mean you can’t afford the brands that the poshers want? If it’s thrifting sourced the markup should still be significant?

@minttobe i actually discovered reselling through Instagram. Bethany blender! Aka justthriftit. It’s something I can do in my own time in addiction to my job and I moved to a much bigger city with bins!!!! I need money to pay off student loans!!!

@minttobe i don’t have a posh insta. I’m not really interested in that tbh. I just followed Bethany, who does it full time and is mostly selling on eBay.
Bins are really hit or miss. I went the other day and it was busy and I found almost nothing. Went today and it was so quiet and I found cole Haan, Michael kors, tahari, new j crew, pink by VS and more

@minttobe not really I’m kind of scared of jeans. They’re so specific to each body and I’m not familiar with the brands so I’m not confident with them yet. I have about two pair right now to sell.

@meghanlongtin yes both of those are good but it depends on the style of the jeans. I have some old designer jeans I can’t move at all for $19 and open to offers. 😢 however a newer style lucky brand with a pretty big flaw sold for $19 outright (I marked it down a lot cause of the flaw) and I just feel like it’s the style that is most important, then brand, even though it’s gotta be a decent brand

@meghanlongtin for me, I see listings go for the most with high rise styles, doesn’t matter if it’s skinny or flared. Mom style jeans like vintage Levi’s. But I also think all this depends on like the vibe of your closet
