Delayed posting of tracking had happened with me recently, when I shipped an item and knew USPS was in possession of package. I believe a day had gone by before USPS started tracking movement of the package and post receipt of package.

kmoreno79 Hi, thank you for my dooney & Bourke bag purchase. I am soo heartbroken as I went to get it out of where it was stored I noticed a stain on the front part. It’s an odd stain idk if color rubbed off from pressing against something. I obviously would never send something damaged so I wanted to let you know. kmoreno79 @coralhues Hi! It looks more like color transfer, almost like a water mark. It definitely isn’t mold. I can’t find an explanation for what it could be as all the other bags in my closet next to it are completely fine. The material is very sensitive, so it’s hard to pin point what could’ve happened.
