myzturee Welp, Melany...it is a buying/selling platform for clothing, make-up, and accessories whose fundamental structure is based on community. It is a great way to shop and meet cool people. Shopping is pretty straightforward...you can buy at asking price or negotiate with the seller. Best etiquette is to do so via the "offer" button or through adding items to your "bundle." The icons are operating system-based (depending on whether you are apple or android...but neither is hard to locate).

myzturee When you bundle more than one item, most sellers will add a multiples discount. Doing so, also lets you save on shipping costs, because they can put it all in one box most often times. Selling is a tad bit more complex. You must load photos of your items and style your closet in a way that invites others to browse (i.e. - by price - ⬆️⬇️ or ⬇️⬆️, by item type, by color, etc.).

myzturee I've seen it recommended to keep the backgrounds simple to showcase your item better, but it's your closet, do what you feel! Price things reasonably and you'll get more traffic...especially if your items are of good quality and are well cared for.

myzturee It's always nice to wash/dry clean/spot clean your items prior to sending them out so they go out "at their best." Note any imperfections or defects in your descriptions so the buyer is made aware up front...to prevent any backend difficulties.

myzturee Some Poshers like to add a little note of thanks, a small "thanks for shopping" gift, or wrap the item nicely to add an additional touch...doing so is at your discretion (I do...Dollar Tree is your friend for this).

myzturee Lowball offers are insulting, try not to do it. Poshmark takes 20% of every sale over $15, and $2.95 off of everything under $15. Further, if someone offers you discounted or free shipping, that further impacts their compensation.

It's like a giant ball of friends shopping in an infinite online thrift store. The only thing that could make it better, is if all this came with wine, chocolate chip cookies, and/or ice cream <insert favorite indulgences>! Lol

myzturee P.S. - Trading of items is allowable, but it is done at your own risk. I've done it once...it was a favorable experience when I did. Perhaps others have more in-depth insight and experience in this area they can share. Posh is also great about issues with purchases (as has been the case for me thus far).

myzturee Week, almost forgot 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️...shipping is really simple and handled through USPS. You can get flat rate packaging (order online or pick up at your local post office...it's free). Posh sends you a label once items sell. You print it, a fix it to your box/bag/envelope, and either drop it in the mailbox, have it picked up (you can arrange online), or take it to the post office. It usually takes 1-3 days to ship.
