@emmic17 that's awesome! I tried to learn the lava song the other day AND sing it... fail all around lol. Any advice to learn the ukulele better. Some of the teaching on line are just confusing and reading notes! 😩

@emmic17 I know a handful of the easy cords lol but strumming patterns and which to use confus me and the harder notes with difficult finger placement kill me 🤗

@monica0329 oh, ok, strumming patterns.. fun fun. lol I would say the simplest most common Uke strum pattern, is "down, up, mute" so you strum down, then up, then mute (or chunk). It's pretty simple. If you don't know how to mute, all you do is kind've land your hand on the strings, you can kind've tap your uke with your fingers as well. Chunking is when you strum with strings are muted.

@monica0329 as far as the more difficult chords go, I hate to tell you this, but you've just gotta keep trying to play them, even if it sounds crappy. Your hands kinda build up the muscle over time, and eventually it gets easy. A lot of people give up on harder chords cause they're not wanting to put in the time. It takes some diligence, but once you learn your first bar chord, or hard chord, whatever lol, it gets easier from there.

@emmic17 that strum technique totally made sense to me. I always thought it was continues strumming. Bar chords? Is that when you hold the chords down for all four strings plus another on a different fret? Those are so hard lol
