mmartinezesteve @deisenlk Hi. I made my first sale and I want to make sure that I'm doing things the right way. I got a small USPS flat rate box at the post office; printed, cut and glued the shipping label; and tomorrow will drop in the mailbox. This is all correct right? The lady at the post office told me that the shipping cost for that box is $7.15 but I read in your selling guide that Poshmark's postage is $6 something. I want to make sure the box reaches its destination. Can you confirm? Melissa

deisenlk @mmartinezesteve -- Hi there! Flat rate boxes are not allowed. You need to use regular basic priority mail boxes, which come in a big variety of sizes. You can get these for free online or from your local post office. Hope this helps!

mmartinezesteve @deisenlk I didn't pay anything for the box. I asked which boxes were for free and they showed me all the ones. I am completely confused. The one I have says priority mail on it but it also says small flat rate box.

deisenlk @mmartinezesteve -- Yeah all priority boxes are free. Go get one that doesn't say flat rate on it. If you ship one in a flat rate box, it will be sent back to you. I think there's a better explanation of this in the FAQ section.

mmartinezesteve @deisenlk yes I just looked it up and saw a picture of the one I'm supposed to use. What threw me off is that both boxes have priority mail written on them and the lady at the post office only showed me the flat rate boxes. Thank you for your help. I will need to request a new label and get a new box tomorrow.
