monie815 I am new to Poshmark so all advice welcome. I am not great at this descriptive stuff. I have lots of clothes I need gone. I had a huge yard sale to help finance my 2019 mission trip to Kenya. So many people gave me clothes to sell. They didn’t all sell in yard sale so I am reaching out through Poshmark .

belleairebtqe Hi there! Thx for reaching out! I’ve got lots of tips and it will take a few comments below to fit them all in, but here goes: 1. Share, share, share - your closet at least 2-3 times a day and others’ listings. As much as you can. poshgirlsclub (add the @ before searching) has a variety of share opportunities everyday - check it out and find a couple that fit into your schedule.

belleairebtqe 2. Follow as many people as you can. Check out the follow group posted by invoguehippie. Check that out and read the directions. You will pick up a lot of followers that way. There are a lot of follow games on PM and there are actually links to many of them on this gal’s page. You will also discover other share and follow groups just by sharing items from others’ closets.

belleairebtqe 3. When you list an item, that is the only time it is visible to all PMers. After that, when you share your closet it is only visible to your followers. By sharing other listings you will have people return the favor and your items will be seen by all of their followers. I’ll include some suggestions for your listings below. 😊

belleairebtqe PM has an algorithm which places the most shared items up higher in the ongoing feed. I joined a FB group called Poshmark Share Blasters. People put a request to have an item share blasted a number of times and in return will blast your chosen item back the same number of times. Neither this group nor the follow group has any obligation. Only how much you want to participate.

belleairebtqe 5. PM encourages you to find other sellers who like the same styles/sizes/brands as you. If you find these people and follow them and they share your listings, you are more apt to be in a good position to come across a buyer.

belleairebtqe 6. For pricing - search for a similar item and see how much it sold for by filtering for sold items. Always price your item knowing that PM will keep 20% and buyers almost always make an offer instead of paying the asking price. Try to clear at least $10 per item, otherwise it’s almost not worth your time investment.

belleairebtqe 6. (Cont’d) to calculate your earnings, start with your asking price, let’s say $15. To factor in PM’s 20%, divide $15 by 80%. The result is $18.75. You will need to list at $19 to clear your asking price of $15. However, you will almost always get a lower offer from a buyer, so plan to add a buffer amount to allow for negotiations, in the above case maybe $8-10.

belleairebtqe 7. My closet is @dmullins54. You can take a look at how I’ve got stuff listed. Everyone has their own style of displaying their items, but the main thing is to be certain the item takes center stage. If there’s too much in the way of graphics or accessories, etc., people won’t know what they are looking at when it comes through the feed. Also - make sure your pictures are bright. You can do a lot right within the photo app on your phone.

belleairebtqe 8. A few of my fave photo editing apps: Knock out, A Beautiful Mess, Pic Collage. Find a solid, light colored wall as a backdrop. I use a command strip and a clear hanger. 9. Listing tips: Provide as many photos as possible. Include fabric content, bust and length measurements (pit to pit), ideas for styling. List items individually (e.g., the skirt and blouse you have listed).

belleairebtqe This is a lot of info to digest, and it’s taken me a while to figure out what works best for me. You may have other ideas that will work even better! Also check out empty_hanger on you tube. She’s just one of the Poshers who have helpful videos. Before you know it, you will have enough money for your next mission trip! Please feel free to ask any questions, always... God Bless!💕💕💕
