penny326 Hi Melissa, I was just curious. Do you make any soaps out of goat milk products

melissafunde465 @penny326 hi! I do make soaps with goats milk. I have one right now that is done curing next week. It’s a goats milk and honey soap made with local honey from a bee keeper.

penny326 @melissafunde465 that’s great that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’m having to source mine off of Amazon from somebody that’s making it. I’m not sure if it natural products I have no idea but I’m allergic and I can use honeys and goat, milk soaps. I’ve always done well with. When it cures, are you gonna place it online with Poshmark?

penny326 If so, could you give me a heads up and send me a post?

melissafunde465 @penny326 I sure will give you a heads up. Trust me, I know about the allergies. It’s why I started making soap. I can’t use anything mass produced because it’s cross contaminated. What are your allergies?

penny326 @melissafunde465 I was really young when it started. I’m 61 now my parents never had the money to have me tested and I just learned through the years. I had someone for a long time that made soap locally and she did it with goats, milk and honey and hardly no additives is what she said. I was always able to use it and she passed away a couple years ago and it’s been really hard to find something so I just trial and error is what I do so I was happy to see your closet and ask you

penny326 If it helps you out, I use cornstarch for a powder if I have to have some because I can’t use cornstarch with any additives in it. Or I break out I can’t use any make up. There’s one lotion that dermatologist found that I can use on my face just not around my eyes so it is difficult.

penny326 But I’ve never had those fine tests that actually tell you everything I’ve just dealt with it now I’ve had to have both my daughters go through those test They inherited my problems and they have to be careful also but it’s not as bad as mine, but I make & as old as I am I made it this long i’ll do well to the day. I’ll leave this place.

melissafunde465 @penny326 I also use cornstarch for powder. No lotions for me. There’s no way I’ll find any it took me 2 years to find a sunscreen and a few pieces of makeup. The mineral ones by bare minerals have been good for me as far as a powder foundation and eyeshadow. False lashes or nothing, and Burt’s bees lip pigments.

melissafunde465 Had to change my whole life when this happened out of nowhere. Cleaners, personal care, laundry. My family has to all use the free and clear. Husband has to use same items I do to shower. So when I list the honey on here, if you make a purchase, I have small soap ends/samples. I’d like to include a few. The milk and honey soap has a fragrance oil in it.

melissafunde465 Do you use mostly fragrance free? Or know if your prior supplier was using any fragrance? I have several other products that are simple. Pure Castile is oil water and lye. Coffee is the same but I used brewed coffee and grounds in it. I have another Castile that the only difference is I added mica color to it.

melissafunde465 @penny326 I’m going to list the honey tomorrow. By the time it ships it will be good to use. Curing time helps harden the bars and disperse the water so they last longer.
