paratidemi Thank you for stopping by my closet. However I blocked you because as my closet rules state I follow and expect others to follow Posh etiquette rules. You asked for nearly 50% off for an item, a high value item at that. As a fellow posher you would appreciate that your buyers follow the posh etiquette rules and make reasonable offers.

themonkeychow @paratidemi thanks for your message, however I would respectfully disagree with your version of events. First of all, with regards my "lowball" offer, you are selling a product that is used and with some blemishes, and furthermore you overstated the original retail price of the shoe by almost $20 (they retail for $88 full price). All of these factors diminish the resale value in my mind, and therefore I don't believe the starting offer I sent to you was so egregiously unreasonable.

themonkeychow @paratidemi Re: "etiquette," I myself have no issues with initial offers on my closet of 50% asking price or even less, as I understand that the initial offer is just the start of a negotiation to maximize utility for both buyer and seller, and usually results in a mutually agreed upon price. In the end it's certainly your right to decline offers and to even block me as you have -- but I don't appreciate you publicly trashing me in addition due to your misguided notion of “posh etiquette.“
