It’s amazing how the body can respond when it gets what it wants. Have had friends come back from major health issues with the right nutrition and supplements. myclosette7 @princesutton For sure! 🙂 I’ve had long term health issues as well & it’s so easy to hate your body for letting you down, instead of giving it what it needs to get better 😂 My friends are definitely inspiration for me. Focusing on the good is supposed to help the immune system, and help reducing stress. Sleep, nutrition & they believe in prayer, too. Supplements have been verrry helpful for some issues I had in the past.

I can’t believe I didn’t know how sick he was, with colitis. I know God will take care of him, but ERs and hospitals are humbling. It makes me grateful for all that I have. myclosette7 @princesutton I’m so sorry about your partner! Colitis can be very debilitating! My Mom had it & went to the ER a couple times for it. Stress was a trigger for her, don’t know if that is a problem for your partner or not. When she was *able* to relax it would get better. It can come on suddenly, so it’s not surprising that you didn’t realize. Hope you are able to visit or call, it’s worrying when a loved one is in the hospital! Make sure to take care of yourself, too! 😃🥰

princesutton @myclosette7 Thank you for your kind words. I’m sure stress played a role. He’s a Gulf War veteran and suffers from PTSD. He feels much better today. I woke up with a headache, fever and upper respiratory infection. I didn’t get to the hospital today. I know he’s lonely and our pups really miss their Poppy. I’m going to talk to him about stress. Did your mom have to change her diet? I read to stay away from dairy, bread, red meat and some vegetables. Take care, my friend 🦋🌸🌷

myclosette7 @princesutton That’s too bad for both of you! 😐 I think nuts were her biggest problem, but will get some coffee to get my brain working & text what I remember😂 Have heard that Vitamin C, Zinc & Garlic are really helpful for chest infections. Stress would be huge for your partner with being a veteran! Calcium, Magnesium & Vitamin B complex are supposed to help with that. It prob wouldn’t take it away, but if it took the edge off a little, maybe it’d be more manageable?

myclosette7 @princesutton Will get some coffee in a couple & try to remember what helped with my Mom’s colitis! IIRC, when you’re having a bout of Colitis, your supposed to go with soft, non-challenging foods to digest, since the intestinal tract is inflamed & sensitive. That way it has a chance to not have anything trigger it & also have a chance to heal. Sorry I don’t remember more offhand, but will comment back later today when I do. myclosette7 Brain is starting to come online 😆 Probiotics to help with digesting food, so intestines don’t have to do as much work. Stress would make her tense up, cause muscles to tighten & stay in a state of excitability, which could cause the Colitis to flare up. Also, when things were a little better, she was supposed to *gradually* increase her fiber.

myclosette7 @princesutton Sugar, fast foods, wheat & milk products can cause issues in some ppl. She loved sugary foods & just read that some studies are showing sugar & fast foods are very linked to Colitis. Make sure he doesn’t have Cdif, since that can cause the same symptoms. Also, IIRC a bacteria can cause this & that Dr’s are prescribing an antibiotic for it. Will message more as things come to mind. You guys take care of yourselves & I hope you both get better soon! 😃🌸💜
