Hi! I'm N. I am a teacher who costumes middle school and high school theatrical productions. I tend to look for vintage and vintage-look reproduction clothing. The arts are under-funded; in fact the theatre programs in my school district have no budget at all, so I am often looking for bargain. That's because whatever I spend is coming right out of my own pocket and I will not be reimbursed. So, support the arts and help a teacher out! Thank you for your kindness!

Here’s some constructive criticism: it’s lousy business practice to sneer at a potential customer, no matter how low their offer.

neilacts @capcityexchange 2) You are selling is vintage clothing. You might want to believe that ALL things increase in value with age – like a fine wine or a painting – that just isn’t true. As clothing gets older, it disintegrates and cannot be worn very much. The value just isn’t the same.

The minute an automobile hits the pavement from a car lot it decreases in value by thousands of dollars; why would a thirty-year-old jacket be any different.

I wear a lot of vintage hats and absolutely loved it—it was very similar to a hat my great-aunt, who was a milliner, made for my late grandma. I intended to buy it when the seller sent out her offer, but my daughter was sick and I missed the opportunity.
