I was preparing the Isabella top for shipment and just noticed that one of the seams has been pulled slightly apart. It can easily be fixed with a quick stitch before you wear it. Nancy, Hi! There are only 2 labels on this dress. The Valentino Night label and the “care label” which is the white one right under the RED Valentino label.
Because of the construction of this dress, a lot of couture designers do not put fabric content labels on their creations because there is either: A. No good place to place them based on where they would show (and on this dress they would show).

B. They do not put them on the skirt if it would impede movement of the fabric, or create a “bump” on the outside. I have had many items – especially my silk scarves by designers, just the Bottega Veneta one in my closet – where they CHOOSE specifically not to add a label at all to the garment - in a spot that would not be good for the wearer or the look of the garment. And generally the fabric is a given.

It is a DRY CLEAN ONLY item as in most couture items.
GIVE: The entire dress is cut on the BIAS. So there is give everywhere in the FABRIC ITSELF.
If you pull one bust HALF section (one half from the V front to the side zipper) NEAR ARMPIT - there is stretch by 4-5”. Still that is hard to measure – it’s relative on where you start – but I gently pulled it open and there is a lot of give – like I said it’s cut on the BIAS. BIAS cut has the most give of any fabric.

PARTS THAT ARE STRUCTURED and meant to have NO STRETCH.
1. Top of Shoulder – RUCHING has stitches to keep it stationary with no stretch.
2. “V” cut back and front EDGE PIPING
3. Armhole PIPING
4. Waist – INSIDE OF WAIST is a “WAIST STAY”
A Couture garment has a “Waist Stay” – a black grosgrain ribbon with a hook and eye closure.

It is cut to fit the waist so that the waist seam stays structured and the grosgrain gives even more support to the structured ½” inch SEAM area of the waist (where the bodice meets the accordion knife pleat skirt).
NO ease- NO stretch on this waist or “Waist Stay”
