I worked in the luxury fashion industry for years, but I’m a jeans and t-shirt girl at heart, most in my element outside, hiking with my dog or on horseback, not in heels, like back in the day! helennora I worked in Corporate Ralph Lauren from 1994 until 2004. I then went to Versace briefly but my children were young so I became a bartender in a local restaurant and it was much easier for my schedule. I had a huge wardrobe but unfortunately only have a few pieces that have made it around for this long.

natalia_nyc @helennora Thanks very much, I appreciate it! Go ahead and sell to your high bidder — I’m afraid the sweater is too wide (Ralph Lauren sizing really is tricky) and I love, love the jodhpurs but I can’t figure out the waist sizing 😕 Thank you for your time! I hope you’re feeling better!

helennora @natalia_nyc it definitely can be tricky especially between all of his lines. I can give more measurements on the jodhpurs if it helps. They are definitely made very well and I believe more true to size.

natalia_nyc @helennora That would be great, thanks :) Maybe the waist when laid out flat? Did you work for corporate in NYC or does RL have an HQ elsewhere too? I worked for corporate in NYC (also for about 10 years), and although I loved it when I was younger, and sometimes feel nostalgic for it, it's a tough industry, isn't it?

helennora @natalia_nyc I worked at Copper Ridge in NJ which is another headquarter.. it was nice but nothing compared to the NYC. I worked in a gallery down town for awhile and loved it but it was a 2 hour commute on an easy day so I burned out fairly quickly.

helennora @natalia_nyc I haven’t worked retail in many years and while I miss many people and the discount the company really changed when Ralph decided to go public. I had 2 young kids at the time and my son was rather sickly. Being a stay at home mom was the hardest, challenging and most rewarding job of a life time!

natalia_nyc @helennora I didn’t know they had a NJ office, cool! And a bad commute is killer. That’s such a shame RL went public — I had a similar situation at my old company (that I loved so much) and it completely changed and literally everyone left, including me. Kudos to you for being a stay at home mom! 🙌🏻💪🏻 Your kids will sure benefit from that! 😊

And Happy Birthday!! 🎂🥳 Just in case… it is recommended that you take those to your shoe repair place and have a thin rubber soles with slight ridges glued to the bottom. It keeps them from being slippery on wet surfaces and keeps them in pristine condition. I have a pair that I’ve worn so much I’ve had it done twice..lol.
