frenchmartin @tackettscloset You’re off to a great start!👍 I suggest putting the brand in the Short Description because it doesn’t show up in everyone’s view of our Closets. Also measurements make sales go quicker. You may become an Ambassador in no time & get more followers which means more $ales 😊

frenchmartin @tackettscloset Here is alittle more info that may help: You will get allot of alerts saying you have a new follower or showing someone shared your listings. It’s good to share theirs in return. Your followers are able to see what you share. When other people share your items their followers see your stuff, advertising 😊

frenchmartin @tackettscloset When you share to Posh Parties anyone can see it, I highly recommend sharing to those. When you share to a party, it also shares to your followers so you don’t have to share to them again. You are able to to make offers to people who “like” your stuff or have Bundled, but I wouldn’t worry about that until you get the hang of everything. You’ll want to “share” your items every day. Your items will not show up in Search Results if your items haven’t been shared recently.

frenchmartin @stylemore Hi Nicholas! I think you should have a good assortment with lots of different sizes. I’ve sold quite abit of Men’s clothing even though I have mostly women’s. But I also sell children’s & Boutique items. If you do a filter on my closet you can bring up the items I have sold. I think it’s a good thing to have an assortment but make sure to organize it best you can. You can look at my closet for ideas 😊

frenchmartin @stylemore Don’t worry to much, just start listing your items & you can start more organizing when it starts getting cluttered. Whatever you have on hand that you want to sell men’s or women’s just list it. With Posh you can always delete an item & you’re not out any fees or anything 😄 If you haven’t yet, you can order free boxes/envelopes at USPS.com. Never use Flat Rate for Posh. donnastreasures @stylemore Nice to meet you. I have lots of tips sprinkled throughout my closet that you may find helpful, the most important is to share. Share every item in your closet at least once a day, more if possible. Also follow & share a few items from others closets. They’ll do the same. I’m Always around if you need anything.

donnastreasures @stylemore sorry for the delay. My sister had surgery & I’m taking care of her. Yes I use padded envelopes. Yes you can use flat rate boxes. I stick with the priority ones. Don’t buy them. Go to USPS.com & order them for free

missdonalou Hello! I see that you are new to Poshmark and getting lots of great suggestions. I would add that it’s really good to increase the number of followers as quickly as possible by spending time every day adding followers. You can do this many ways, but one way is to click on the number of followers on anyone’s closet - a long list of their followers will come up, go down the list and click on all the blue “Follow” buttons. Hope that helps!

missdonalou @stylemore I saw in the comments that you asked about selling men’s or women’s clothing - my thought about that is that, while you can sell men’s clothing (your graphic T’s did well), women’s will sell better. My husband has a closet and doesn’t sell too much. His graphic T’s sold and footwear, but the dress shirts seem to sit. If you have a source for women’s handbags, they sell well.

missdonalou @stylemore Another great way to increase followers is to go to the page on your account that has your “Guide to Poshmark” icon. Below that you will see another icon for “Find friends” - if you click on that it brings up a list of Posh ambassadors you can follow. Follow as many of them as you can! As ambassadors, they are more likely to follow and share.

catsdraggeditin Hi Nicholas. I saw a conversation about using flat rate boxes. Poshmark states NOT to use flat rate. You can get free Priority Mail boxes/envelopes (not padded though). Priority Mail is how we are expected to send. Just mentioning bc I can tell yours conscientious about what you’re doing. Best wishes to you on your closet. 🌻

I see you are hand righting notes.if you have a smart phone there is a free app called Photo Grid that will help you post a better picture you can put text in. It will look a little more attractive than you can even take a picture of something basic for a background set of the color and just type over top of it.
