ronimase Hi Nicole! I’m sorry to take so long to get back to you! I’m definitely not a night person lol! People share your closet to be nice but also to give your closet exposure to the people who follow them. If I share your closet, it gets seen by the people who follow me. Then they in turn share your closet to all the people who follow them.

ronimase And it snowballs on and on. Poshmark keeps track of the number of people who follow you and the number of people you follow. If you go to your seller stats you’ll see this. Posh gives us a “promotion” of sorts like Posh Ambassador which used to be called Suggested User.

ronimase For instance, you have about 300 followers and you are following 377 closets. The more people you follow the more people who see your closet the more sales you’ll get from all who follow you! See?!? 💜 To get more followers you follow everyone who follows you. Then you can go into say my closet and follow everyone (or some) who follow me. Etc.

ronimase People put items in a basket for a few reasons. They may be marking an item they like (liking) to remind them of what they have seen that they may purchase in the future or to remind them of which closet they want to go back to later. Some newbies will do it without knowing you can see their bundle. The main reason now is that they’ll get notified when you drop your price on item.

ronimase What I do is go their closet and message them something like ‘I see you liked an item in my closet. Thanks. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have ‘. They’ll respond or not. You can remind them of your bundle discount. What you can not do is advertise your closet like saying ‘come to my closet and buy’.

edekayfavething @nicolesestak I know.... the problem is the BUYER first has to Bundle it :( Only then can a Seller make a Private Offer. Clear as mud now? :) always here if we have more fun to figure out together:) TIP: you can message them on their About page or on an Item Page and detail an offer. But if you have not already been chatting about a deal it is Highly frowned upon to push a sale off of a Like. :)

nicolesestak @edekayfavething edekayfavething hey! So how bad is it when a seller opens a case on you? I had listed a paur of shoes mistakingly as a size 9 but they were really an 8. I tried to contact the buyer and put a note in th paclage bc i want to make it right But now the claim is in...how badly will one claim affect my sales?

edekayfavething @nicolesestak Hey Nicole...Hmmm...Great to hear from you...Sorry it's for this reason though...you poor thing...Let's see...Each claim is handled on the merits of the facts and from what i've seen and heard Poshmark goes by the facts, that simple. So, if a claim is open it might not be awarded against you, first of all. :) If that is the case, most others likely won't know about it and it should not affect sales.

edekayfavething @nicolesestak IF the claim goes against you, also if you have bad reviews (the star ratings), it definitely has the potential to dissuade folks from purchasing from your closet. No guarantee it will, but highly likely will affect sales to some degree to moderate degree if you have a collection of bad reviews and bad claims. One bad claim early on, with a paper train that shows you tried to make it right--I think you are ok. Might cost 1 to a few sales.

edekayfavething @nicolesestak Maybe. If anything--it taught you to be more careful when posting your Item Descriptions, right? :) I'm so sorry this is happening. Drama...Stress...But one bad claim does not a wrecked Poshmark closet make, again--especially if the paper trail is in your favor. Hope that is helpful. Feel better... :)

missmal92 I always wonder if my own closet shares are really getting somewhere- as well as my own closet shares to parties. I got to a certain point with people following my closet and then I feel like it slowed down a lot. 😭 How did you gain so many followers? nicolesestak I have noticed that people tend to have 1/3 the amoynt of followers that they follow. For instance, I follow 100,000 some.people and have 30,000 some followers. Sk spend some time just going and gettinf followers. You can search for peope related to what youre selling. Since i sell a lot of Anthro, i search fof that Brand name and then go to one of the followers and then follow all their followers. Maks sense?

nicolesestak @rorriek when an item is reduced in price by the seller, poshmark offers shippinh for $4.99 for the next 6 hours. Then it returns to the usual $6.50 - is that what you are refering to? Let me know and i will do what i can. I sent you an offer on the bathing suit and dress bundle - I offered them together for $14 and with the bundle you only pay 1 shipping fee, so you would get both items + shipping for $19.50 total!
