love_quindy Greetings! Glad you liked your J Crew pants but so sorry about the color not being exactly what you thought. I went back and forth questioning whether they were brown or grey...I wore them as brown with brown shoes. But they could look gray depending on the light. So I called my mom who worked at J Crew and asked! She said if they were lined in gray, they were gray and if they were lined in brown, they were brown. That's how they manufacture their dress pants.

love_quindy Take it with a grain of salt though especially if you're trying to match with the same J Crew herringbone. Just wanted to let you know I struggled with color lolol.....and I thought I had an expert opinion. I hope you do end up getting some use out of them this winter.
