pamala917 @micaya5 I have a question. I sold a blouse and mailed it the 2nd day due to my work schedule. I’m a Emt and work 24/48 hr shifts. I got it in the mail and it has been 7 days and my money is still pending. How long does it take to get your money?

micaya5 @pamala917 After the buyer receives the item, Posh release the money to you within 3 days of delivery into your Poshmark account. Giving the buyer time to inspect the purchase. If they don't accept and don't dispute posh will release and you can withdraw the money via direct deposit to your bank account or request a check.

micaya5 @pamala917 yes, I understand. Some buyers don't move fast with acceptance. Some are new and don't understand the process either. I sometimes send a gentle nudge. When does it say it was delivered?

micaya5 @pamala917 no i meant a receipt from the post office when you dropped it off? You get the prepaid shipping label from Posh via email. You print it out and affix to the package. When you to USPS they scan it and give you a receipt. The package starts tracking immediately (within 1 to a few hours) You get an email and notification in the Posh App. And so does the buyer.

micaya5 @pamala917 within 1 - 3 days the package is delivered and the tracking in the Posh App tells daily step by step under My sales. You can also put the tracking number in USPS website to see the status.

micaya5 @pamala917 not good. Go to your email and pull shipping label. The tracking number is at the bottom of it. Plug it into USPS online and see if it comes up.

micaya5 @pamala917 it sounds like the package never got shipped from your post office. Sounds like you will have to file a claim with your local post office https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm. Be sure to download a copy of the poshmark email that shows who it was suppose to ship to with the price of it. And a copy of the shipping label.

micaya5 @pamala917 You will have to explain in your claim what happened and who you handed it to. Chances are you will not get the package back but USPS will likely refund you your money. You will also need to cancel the order with Poshmark because they hold the buyers money until they receive the package. Chances are they will never receive the package since the package never shipped. So you can cancel the order so Posh can give the client their money back.

micaya5 @pamala917 It doesn't take the post office long to resolve their claims... normally within a week. Going forward with sales, be sure the post office clerk scans your package and issue you a shipping receipts. Also before you ship anything be sure to take a picture of the item and packaging just to cover yourself if and when a mishap occurs. Unfortunately, things happen. We can only learn from them.

micaya5 @pamala917 I'm sorry this happened on your first sale though. I'm sure the buyer will be disappointed since their money has been tied up for an entire week with no merchandise. Be sure to issue them an apology as a sign of excellent customer service since it's no one's fault the post office personnel was either dishonest or lost your package. Keep me posted.

pamala917 @micaya5 I have contacted the PO and they seem to think it is lost. Just to give it a couple more days. Also while that was going on the customer canceled the order. I sent her and note a couple of days ago asking if she received it and she said no. That’s is when I started calling. But I don’t know what else to do but wait and see what happens. Makes me just pull out of Poshmark all together.

micaya5 @pamala917 Yes, the customer cancel the order if it takes too long to ship. Unfortunately it never shipped and this wasn't a Poshmark issue, more so your post office issue. You can file a claim online takes minutes. Give brief explanation and show receipt where you charged the customer $$$, and explain the PO never shipped it, they will issue you a refund. It's fast.

micaya5 @pamala917 don't get discouraged... this wasn't a Poshmark issue and I guarantee you will enjoy your experience. (smile) Just file the claim online against your Post Office https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm and include the email from Posh that serves as a receipt showing what you were charging for the item. You will get it back. Just a small lesson... I never even drop anything in the mailbox because I want them to scan and give me a receipt in my face... no wonder no wait.

micaya5 @pamala917 I had one incident out of 72 items sold where the buyer didn't get her item. It shipped, but somebody took out the contents. It was resolved quickly with Poshmark and I got the value of my item. I bad apple out of 72 not too bad. But none the less, doesn't take away the disappointment and minor headache when you are in the moment. 😊

pamala917 @micaya5 thank you so much for your help with my issues . My P.O. is very rural and don’t have the capability that the big ones has so I think from now on I will use the big cite P.O. I’m filing a complaint to day it has been 7 days. So that is long enough.
