@chesty2 I hope you can help me with this question I did a very stupid thing I think I hope not but I had some Murphy's Oil Soap it said multi use wood cleaner and I used it on my purse that's almost like yours on the leather did I ruin it cuz when I went online it said it could be used to clean it but I soaked it in thinking I was protecting it seems by it is not soft and supple anymore I am so bummed out that's why I bought yours do you know if I ruined it or or not

@ptdccc oh man, I don’t think Murphy’s oil is supposed to be used on leather. I don’t think you’re supposed to use oil on finished leather. You could try buying a leather lotion. Target sells leather lotion in the shoe section. Maybe you can try bringing the leather back with the lotion. It moisturizers and prevents cracking or wear. Make sure it says leather lotion. I think it’s about $8-$10 a bottle

@chesty2 well I wouldn't have done it but it said online that I could use it for that and I saw them using it on a leather jacket I may have ruined it I don't know but that is why I bought yours and believe me I will never make that mistake again the shine is gone and I Stumble feeling is gone it's tougher it looks okay I don't know but anyway that's why I bought yours I learn everything the hard way

@chesty2 mine is almost identical to yours except this has the flowers the white flowers in the rhinestones on the handle and it had brass hinges it was really pretty was lol was it still looks great it's just not shiny or subtle anymore I was told only time will tell I'm very bummed out

@ptdccc oh, I love that strap. I’m guessing that leather needs moisture. Don’t rub it in. Pat it into the leather. Let it absorb. Small layer and see what happens. You have nothing to lose but making your bag look supple again. 🙂

@ptdccc it’s a well made bag. I was disappointed when Tylie stopped making bags. I have a red and brown suede that I love. A huge green basket weave leather that’s great for fall. I adore her bags. Something different too. Knowing me I’ll find another on Poshmark and purchase. I’m in California too. Your shipping label is a two day. Keep in mind shipping is slower due to Covid. Maybe Wednesday delivery.
