Hi! I'm Patrice. I'm a concert pianist married to an actor, both of us retired music professors -- so I like things that are creative, beautiful, often quirky! I sell an eclectic collection of things I've accrued in my 70 years. I joined Posh in 2019 to sell one item! Began actively selling in 2021. I LOVE Johnny Was, Free People, Anthropologie, POL, Trish Scully, Spell and the Gypsy - anything boho or hippie (which I was in the 60's and 70's!)

zardiva1 Thanks so much for your sweet message on my 🐈‍⬛’s condolence page! 🤗😘 He was also energetically 🏃‍♂️ around “attacking” his toys and stuff well into his old age, up until he was about 15 ½, which is when he started hiding out by staying curled up in the seats of the dining room 🪑🪑🪑 most of the time ☹️ In retrospect, I assume that’s when his kidneys truly started to deteriorate, so maybe that’s why he was losing his energy 😓 (I read that sluggishness is one of the symptoms of kidney failure.)

I had a small stroke in 2001 plus I did about 8 years on opioid pain meds, so my memory was affected. I went through Johns Hopkins pain management program and got off the opioids a couple of years ago so my memory has gradually come back. Anyway you said you had a head injury and got hurt? 🇵🇹🇵🇹

I'll ask my hub about Tom Faria when he wakes up - what area of music was he in? Curtis was teaching elsewhere and didn't come to Merced till the late 90's so Tom may have been before his time. I didn't return to Merced until 2005, after a 30-yr absence while I pursued my performance career. That's when I met Curtis! 🇵🇹🇵🇹

menageatrice @snmalloy 🇵🇹🇵🇹 To be honest, I don't know! When they select you to be a Host, the instructions say to select no more than 100 listings. So I always stop at 100, but I did see one Host in another show say she was able to pick 114 before Posh "cut her off". So I guess the algorithms allow a little leeway in case our counting is off. I tend to be OCD on planning details so I make a chart and count all my HP's carefully, LOL! 🇵🇹🇵🇹

menageatrice @catherinekieran Yeah, I have a Zoom webinar Wednesday too! Wed must be show-pushing day for them. You'll find it very helpful - but I recommend you take notes... I find many millennials talk super fast, at least they did when I took my 1st webinar. I think they also assume a little more tech knowledge than I have as a 70-yr -old. Computers didn't even exist when I got married and had kids!

menageatrice @catherinekieran Yeah, algorithms baffle me, but yes, they are what determine how visible your closet is on the Posh platform. Doing shows made my sales go up a fair amount. Yes, I agree, Posh is wonderful for the non-traditional worker like stay-at-home moms, disabled, older.

menageatrice @barbiekay7 Oh, shows are so much fun! I do about 4-5 a week. Are you familiar with them? Your closet is lovely and your pricing is good -- the only reason you're not selling is because you're new, and only have 10k followers, so you're just not getting seen much yet. It takes time -- when I started actively selling on Posh, it had only 10 million members. Now it has over 100 million, so it's easy to get lost in the shuffle!

Getting seen is about logarithms, all scientific and I don't understand it, but I've learned how to build them. However, next time I do a show, if you want to participate, I will be happy to talk you through it - I've done that with several people. Everyone's super nice about it -- everyone's been a first-timer!

But frankly I find Silents boring! Very few people attend and sales rarely happen. I also do Lives -- I prefer the Share Shows because the chat rooms get lively.

menageatrice To me, it's more about the people than the products. Last night I did a Live Share Show - Jewelry - and we had a blast! A woman who's knowledgeable about vintage jewelry taught us all sooo much about the various designers and styles from the early 1800s through the 1950's. We had a wonderful time and I was shocked that the show went well over 2 hrs!

menageatrice @barbiekay7 But I admit my absolute LOVE is the Posh Party Lives. They're new and very few of us are allowed to hostq them... a few nights ago I did one and over 300 people showed up. The chats were so lively and I was able to auction about 150 dresses and skirts -- so many beautiful evening gowns were sent in -- I had a wonderful time!

First of all, I think your Dooney & Bourke would have been perfect! Vintage and "old style" are still popular. In the future, you can send things in during the show... just add it to the tray any time -- as you probably noticed, I'm always going to the "pre-tray" to add things into the show.

menageatrice @barbiekay7 Show hosts don't get anything, all sales are between the seller and the buyer. The tray is that little white box in the lower right hand corner of the screen with numbers on it. If you tap on it, you'll see a list of all the items available for auction. It holds a maximum of 50 items. Whenever someone wants to auction something in a show, they tap on the tray, then the little blue circle with a + sign.

menageatrice @barbiekay7 Your closet will pop up. Tap on 1-2 items you'd like to auction and tap on Send To Show. The show host will receive it in what I call a pre-tray, which can have hundreds of items in it that people sent in. Then the host picks which ones they want to send ti the tray and auction off. You can send things to the pre-tray anytime before or during the show.

menageatrice @shoppen_gal I'm frustrated too, as are many show hosts, with all the constant tech glitches. For future reference: any time you want to share to a tray during a show: the tray is the little white square with numbers on it, down at the bottom of the screen. Trays hold 50 items, the number tells you how many items are in the tray at that moment.

menageatrice @shoppen_gal Tap on the tray and it'll open. Tap on the blue plus sign to add your items to the tray. It''ll take you to your closet. Tap on the tiny box of the 1-2 items you want to send, then tap on Send To Host at the bottom of the screen.

To do that, go to my closet -- if I have a show scheduled it will show up on a black banner at the bottom of my closet. menageatrice @shoppen_gal Hi Susanne! No a screen shot won't work, it's a Posh program so they're actually the ones that run the shows, I just push buttons to tell them what to run. Everyone has to be present in the show to auction their own items - I work with you to let Posh know which items to run when, but you're actually the one who auctions it.

I am doing a show on June 19 at 3:30 pm central that's 4:30 your time.My last ditch effort to get some sales.Dresses $15 and most of the rest the same except a few pieces and shoes. It's my 85th Birthday show. I know you have a big family reunion about then.

nevadabean worse show ever , changed my next show to 10:30 am. central time June 19th. I did a shoe show at 1100am one day and it was so successful. Just don't get any one on at night
