elouise5675 @jayrug I think you are on the right track with the 101/102 books for starting out. The author of the DK book, Judith Miller, is an expert on antiques and history so she brings a depth of understanding to the culture during periods of history. It is a beautiful book but if you are planning to sell you are on the right track.

jayrug Hello.....I got a notice from Posh in the middle of the night saying my purchase from you was delivered. I checked my front porch and mailbox this morning and it is not there. It’s strange that I got the notice of delivery in the middle of the night. I notified Posh. I am very bummed and hope that it is just accidentally sitting in a neighbors box!! I’ll keep you posted. I wanted to let you know in case posh notifies you also.

jayrug @elouise5675 our mail usually comes between 3:00 -5:00 pm. So it’s very weird that I received the notice during the night. I’m hoping that it is sitting in a neighbors mailbox and that later today when they go out to get their mail that they will find it.

elouise5675 @jayrug According to the tracking info, it was delivered on April 6th to your Traverse City address. I received several notifications that the package was delayed. When you let PM know the package is missing, they will work with USPS. I hope you find it! Please stay in touch😒

I’m thinking it was probably left in someone’s mailbox in a different time zone (like Maine or another state starting with “M”) because it was supposedly delivered at a weird time for our mail here.

jayrug Bad news.... it was your package and I owed $11.00 + on it because it had some sort of special “fragile” sticker on it. The postmaster said that whenever a package has that special “fragile” sticker on it that it costs more. He told me I could pay or send it back so I sent it back. He would not allow me to take a picture of the sticker. It is so weird..... do you remember putting that sticker in it?

elouise5675 @jayrug It is all very odd. I have never had an issue with the Fragile stickers and have sold 144 dishes via Posh Mark! My USPS person has never said a word about the USPS stickers. But, I have Red Fragile stickers and will use them for now on. So sad you had a problem. Instead of sending it back, PM could have charged me for the extra postage or negotiated with the USPS. I have only had a few mailing issues and the PM staff have been great.

elouise5675 I heard back from PM. Apparently, there is a special charge for using a fragile sticker! I have used over a hundred stickers without an issue. When I receive the returned package, PM will send another mailing label and I will ship WITHOUT a fragile sticker!! If you are not interested in the jewelry, please let PM and I know. We both learned a lot during this experience but I am so sorry for the stress you experienced.

elouise5675 @jayrug No, I did not receive the package. The item shows as “accepted”. When I did not hear back from you, I thought you were able to work out a solution with the USPS. I will send a message to PM as a follow up. Today, Allen and I are going to the Post Office to show them the red Fragile stickers I bought. I want to make sure there won’t be an issue with the non USPS stickers! Of all the times I used the stickers, your package was the only package held and charged😒

jayrug It also shows on my end as “delivered” but it never was delivered to my house. I sent a lost request to the post office last Friday morning and they called me later that day saying the package was at the post office...which it was when I went there. But it was sent back to you “refused” that day - Friday afternoon. The postmaster had me write “refused” on the box with my initials.

virginiaalle590 I need to tell you that I have some Sarah Coventry jewelry and even a jewelry box that came with the presenters that sold it. If u look at the jewelry from the 69’s it doesn’t tarnish. I took some of my pieces to an auctioneer and full sets- necklaces earrings, brooches etc. went for more that real gemstone jewelry. Even single pieces were worth maybe 80$ plz get your pieces appraised locally. Take care! And Hello !

elouise5675 @jscalabrino My mom was born in 1921. Until 2021, she enjoyed good health. Her health failed last year and she just moved into memory care. So, I am glad we shared many stories. I have her diaries and the love letters my parents wrote over an 8 year period. My dad was at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed.

I do wear clip but they hurt!! 😜 sadly. I bought a beautiful Eisenberg brooch & E clips from estate sale very cheaply they are brilliant - love them !! But I Wore them around house - for 1/2 hr - ouch!! 😜. But I do like the set of matching.

We travel a lot & I wear travel friendly clothes. Broke my ankle so my shoe size changed & I wear flats (sold 42 pairs of shoes on PM). Plus, poshing is fun & I find items to fit my life today😀

elouise5675 @nancsha Yes, Elouise was a sweet girl and lived a long life! Her sister, Elizabeth, lived 20 years. Now, we are without pets so long trips are possible. I hope you enjoy Poshing. I started selling with clothes, shoes and jewelry. Then, as I cleared out my garage sold old magazines, books, etc. My overall experience has been positive. One of the advantages to Poshmark is flexibility. You can place your closet on Vacation while you travel.
